I think with some size English can become a good ruck but he has shown jack as a forwardHow heavy was Ayce when he came to the club? I thought that he was only in the really low eighties or late seventies kg mark

202 cm and 75 kg , i went to his first game at Williamstown and whenHow heavy was Ayce when he came to the club? I thought that he was only in the really low eighties or late seventies kg mark
I'm in the camp you don't draft string bean ruckman with early picks fronk.
This bloke is a real string bean , but even more alarming is he dosn't seem to mark the ball much.
Bit of a worry when you are a foot taller than most on the park.
His highlights don't fill me with any great confidence.
Having said all that , I am an idiot so there is every chance English becomes a Bontempelli up grade![]()
If we go for English are you going to get him some meat pies? I saw you say that about Cordy when we drafted him
Marshall/English have a frame that scares the bejeebus out of me, I think with midfielders you can be a bit more flexible but KPP/Rucks NEED some serious muscle/strength
Unless they change the rules of course..
It's kinda funny Kirby is almost 25cm shorter then English yet is a fair bit heavier. It would be an interesting theory taking three skinny guys and then a fat one with our last pick from Brett Anderson's mock draft.
I know absolutely nothing about English sorry KH. Maybe you're right (you usually are you pesky old bastard). I'm just talking more generally about the theory of adding an elite level junior ruck prospect to the list. That makes sense to me given our current list profile.
If dalrymple thinks there's better prospects (ruck or otherwise) available at our pick, don't reach based on need. But if English is right in the mix and/or lineball with other prospects in dalrymple's eyes, I like the concept of drafting him.

Less than 20 to goKirby's weight in BA's Phantom is a typo.
Kirby's weight in BA's Phantom is a typo.
The first two picks should be Victorians it's too risky these days with the amount of players going home, a later pick is different because they're much less likely to make it.
His weight is exactly 10kg off the AFL's so I'd say it is a typo and there is no way he is 96kg. He does need to slim down a bit but not that much! Are you sure? Unlike the AFL site Anderson actually has the updated height and weights listed from the combine. I'm guessing he has the state results as well
Yeah, same for me Tom.has anyone else's draft machine not working. Mine says it has a server error
damn. i was just about to put in me top 10 hahaYeah, same for me Tom.

Was the last player we drafted from our VFL side Brett Goodes, forI Have said this time and time again, forget about how Everitt, Grant, jones and Cordy ended up when talking about Marshall and English. we are light years ahead with our development and use of our VFL side. I really think if we drafted any of those players now we would have got much better results out of them.
we finally have the right balance with our Drafting team, our Coaches and our development program with our own VFL side.
