I have a feeling it is going to be hard to pick a favorite ruck from this year's group. So many are looking like good fits already
Obviously you love Meek.
My favorite is not determined but I think Tim English & Goddard are possibly the best two.
We get to see them play for the same midfield, which should show us who is better at stoppages.

I'm interested in players that can stand up under a lot of pressure
Those types of players will be especially crucial if we are setting ourselves for a long run at the finals

I think we're crying out for more class in the middle to

There is no key forward in the competition that could have made something of the shit deliveries that we bombed inside 50 over & over again

Not even Franklin

Liking Jordan Gallucci, looks to have great skills and speed. Would complement our midfield well.

They can at least bring the ball to the ground for the smalls, nobody could do that yesterday.

Agree we need more class in the middle but we also need tall forwards and a small pressure/goal kicking forward too. We have just got to take the best of these at our picks.

If we have pick 15, 30, 38 & 58, who would you currently be picking?
If we get 15 upgraded to 7?

Yeah I am all for the best player available
I'm not really saying anything new though, I've wanted more class for years

Battle or Berry would be your safer choices, but this is Dalrymple
He could think someone like Scrimshaw becomes a gun CHF

I wonder if like in previous years if Galluci/Parfitt slip later than they should. Dalrymple seems to be one of the few recruiters that likes to take some risks

Venables if we traded up would be in contention

At 15 all of Joshua Battle, Jarrod Berry, Jy Simpkin, Oscar Junker, Tim English, Andrew McGrath and Tim Taranto could be in contention.

At 30/38 I'd say Mason Blakey, Kym LeBois, Lloyd Meek, Peter Ladhams, Jordan Sweet, Judah Dundon, Willem Drew and Jack Scrimshaw could be in contention.

At 58 it is a bit of a late gamble with some of the players mentioned at 30/38 like Meek or Ladhams could still be available, we could have a go at Dandenong goal sneaks Sam Fowler and Dan Allsop or Forwards like Ezekiel Frank, Zach Zydbel or Karl Brown. Alternatively we could have a go at a speculative midfield like Matthew Signorelllo or Oliver Florent or even a tall wingman like Taylin Duman.

Can you tell me more about Andrew McGrath?

I like Frank as a rookie, but I'd be happy enough if we took him late in the draft
It seems to take forever with some talls to see if they're any good or not

I might make my way down to some more Jets games to watch Venables, because he unfortunately didn't play when I went

Apart from being sub 180cm I can't see any real big weaknesses, he finds a lot of the footy and uses it very well off both sides also he is quite quick. I like him off half back due to his ball use and line breaking ability but he also can play midfield if needed to.

I think the injection of Williams has added some class and he'll be a mid/hbf for years but we do have a lot of our more sled kicks missing. It's not a specific need but it's sensible to draft good kicks anyway. I do like Galluci as a late first rounder and I like McGrath in the same range. Both these guys use it pretty well. Given players like Dale are on the fringe who have potential and some nice specs yet lack substance I wouldn't mind adding more first round talent to add depth to our flanks.
