Fair enough but where do they go as players? Smack has shown he can dominate the VFL but is too short for AFL. Yestin can't find the footy and has wildy inconsistent footskills, he is a good runner however. What role does he have at AFL level?Would of still had to pay them if we didn't pick them anyways

Reckon Smack is kept on for a year until we bring in another KPF (or ruck) through next years draft, completely agree with you there though he's another very good state league player who simply doesn't cut it at the elite level, as for Yestin I think the only reason he's been kept on is because we would have had to have paid him out otherwise, no sense having someone on your books that isn't even at the club.Fair enough but where do they go as players? The chance to swoop was the rookie draft - anyone who isn't taken by their zone club is just another undrafted player.Don't know what happens with the rejects though - I guess between 5pm today and lodgement on Wednesday is the time for other clubs to swoop?

Not tall enough to ruck, and not good enough as a forward lol. He's the kind of player that's just kind of there.Smack didn't perform cause he's not a ruck so was played out of position, think there main role is insurance and that they are familiar with the game plan

According to Emma Quayle (27th July):The chance to swoop was the rookie draft - anyone who isn't taken by their zone club is just another undrafted player.
If a club decides against listing a nominated player from their Next Generation region, he will be available to all other clubs as a free hit after the draft.
Smack is a gap fill we can't only have 2 rucks. Draper won't be able to play senior footy next yearDead serious, what do Smack and Yestin actually add to our list apart from increasing the wage bill?
Oh, didn't know that. Cool.According to Emma Quayle (27th July):

Isn't that what he is?I would rather have an untried state league ruck tbh.
To McKernan I mean. Draper I have no problem with.Isn't that what he is?
Surely Eades and Mckernan only get 1 year rookie contracts.
Eades come prepaid.Dead serious, what do Smack and Yestin actually add to our list apart from increasing the wage bill?
Kerbatieh, Uysal and McNeice. We've already got a project ruckman. So apparently Cat B rookies are through nomination now. If all four of Wilson, Kerbatieh, Uysal and McNeice want in, who do you think we take? I'd lean towards Wilson, Kerbatieh and McNeice
Nothing wrong with having 2 of them. In fact I'd love that.Kerbatieh, Uysal and McNeice. We've already got a project ruckman.
true, better to have a higher possibility rather than having nothing when one of them backfires(bock, nyuon etc.)Nothing wrong with having 2 of them. In fact I'd love that.
