Fair enough but where do they go as players? Smack has shown he can dominate the VFL but is too short for AFL. Yestin can't find the footy and has wildy inconsistent footskills, he is a good runner however. What role does he have at AFL level?

Reckon Smack is kept on for a year until we bring in another KPF (or ruck) through next years draft, completely agree with you there though he's another very good state league player who simply doesn't cut it at the elite level, as for Yestin I think the only reason he's been kept on is because we would have had to have paid him out otherwise, no sense having someone on your books that isn't even at the club.

Can't see either of them surviving when it comes to list changes next year.

Smack didn't perform cause he's not a ruck so was played out of position, think there main role is insurance and that they are familiar with the game plan

Anyone got a list of the guys we put down as in our zone (a la, Richmond with Simpkin)?

Wouldn't mind seeing who we will have overlooked, since I assume the news of who we have picked will be out some time soon.
 
Just asked Robert Shaw his opinion on Xavier Richards and whether or not him saying he didn't care if he got picked up or not, his response: "100%...especially when there are so many hungry kids out there. I have no doubt about it. Doesn't mean enough"

Not tall enough to ruck, and not good enough as a forward lol. He's the kind of player that's just kind of there.

According to Emma Quayle (27th July):
If a club decides against listing a nominated player from their Next Generation region, he will be available to all other clubs as a free hit after the draft.

I would rather have an untried state league ruck tbh.
 
Someone should have picked Scharenberg. Not saying us as we picked a number of midfielders but he is good enough to be on a rookie list. My tip is he will get picked within the next 2 seasons and he will make it at AFL level. He may be vanilla with average pace but he has a footy brain and knows how to find the ball. He is an ideal rookie selection.

So apparently Cat B rookies are through nomination now. If all four of Wilson, Kerbatieh, Uysal and McNeice want in, who do you think we take? I'd lean towards Wilson, Kerbatieh and McNeice
