I think the hawks must be pooing their pants about this game
They beaten anyone good yet? Umps got them home v the crows, soft draw has helped
Even with our inexperience we dominated them earlier in the year and should of won by more
Lucky to be first, been brilliant for three years but bring them on I say

Lol I've been reading the corresponding thread on their board. Apparently Jack is a flog for celebrating goals too exuberantly, we have a bunch of no name players which means we'll lose comfortably and then the usual 'cola swans' routine.
To be fair this board is just as predictable.:p

This time last year we had Lake (full back), Spangher (center half back), Schoenmakers (center half forward) and Roughead (full forward). Two of those four players are out for the year.

We've got no spine. We've got an undersized back-line who can't defend and one of the worst and most disfuntional forward-lines in the league.

If we get within 6 goals of Sydney I'll be very surprised given our poor form.
I agree I expect a percentage boost.

Heeney for Rose

Mitchell to Mitchell again
Richards to Gibson
Than somebody to Hodge and that's about it- Heeney perhaps? Very damaging player could limit his own production though.

I don't want Heeney to come back in yet as he had a week off recently and was only able to get 4 disposals the next game. Give Heeney 3 or 4 weeks off to really get his knee right.

Also someone needs to tag Mitchell as he is such a damaging player but at the same time unlike an Ablett or someone like that Mitchell is taggable. Kirk used to regularly take Mitchell out of the game and last time we played Hawthorn T.Mitchell did a great job on him. Tagging fell out of vogue for a few years there but I am so glad it is back as for too long players like Mitchell have been allowed to do whatever they wanted.

Could be a very different look to when we last played.

OUT: McGlynn, Laidler, Cunningham, Tippo, Heeney(?)

IN: Paps, Aliir, Towers, Naismith, Rose(?)

I assume Heeney comes back in for Rose.

Laids may also come in for AA if we aim to not play too tall in defence?

In addition I think Macca and Kizza are in season best form, and Gaz has now had a run of games whereas they were all middling back in rnd 9.

Conversely, Heeney has lost his form. So hopefully a spell makes the difference. Mills has improved since his break.

I'm quietly confident. Or at least as confident as I ever am against this impressive Horde from Victoria.

Don't think Heeney will come back this week. The only change I would probably make is Nanka for Sinclair but even that's debatable.
