Griffiths at one end, Casboult at the other. Conca and Palmer going at it. Cotchin putting his body on the line against Murphy. It's enticing stuff.

Also opening game on the road usually means final game at home so we play the last H&A game at subi as we should

And if they alternate the WA teams playing home then away for the opening game of each season then we play the first game at the new stadium in 2018 as we should :)

Good chance that game will be a derby though

I think I read several weeks back that Fremantle want to host the last (home and away) match at Subiaco, they want it to be a "celebration" of WA Football. They don't want it to be a derby either. Oh and WCE doesn't have a problem with the request (allegedly).

Here is the article - http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/af...l/news-story/ff11659131f7bc2960f2eaf6da67d894

Here's hoping the AFL allows both teams a home game that round... Otherwise if our friends request is granted, it's on the road again in the last round!

Wouldn't it make sense for it to be a derby in order to be a true 'celebration' of WA football?

Not that I really want a derby in the final round, mind.

Yes it would make sense. And I agree that a derby in the final round isn't preferable.

I would have thought the club that has represented WA and achieved the highest possible level of success would have the right to host such an event, but it seems Fremantle feel they are entitled to it... I would hope the club would have put up some stronger opposition to this...

Hah Port fans would be having cold sweats about playing Sydney at the SCG after last time.

Also I guess Collingwood vs Bulldogs will get a decent crowd but it's not the most exciting opponent for the reigning premiers

TBH with how much we have to travel and with the pre finals bye now in place i actually want us to start and finish the season with away games. Then means for the other 20 games we have 12 out of 20 at home and by preference with derbies could mean a couple of runs where we play 2 home games in a row or even a home game either side of the bye so we don't have to travel for 3+ weeks.

What might Fremantle be celebrating?!

Well we are playing at subi in 2018 anyway so the jokes on them [emoji6]

Might be all part of the bluff...

Obviously they don't have an issue, we will aim to get a final there to send it out unlike them.

I read somewhere earlier that next years home finals could be played at Perth Stadium, as it would be likely to be ready by then.

Would prefer if we played any at Subi as we have advantage there, but it's up to the AFL sooooooo

From reports on 882 yesterday was that the Brookfield won't be handing the keys over until January 1 2018. It would be stupid of us to play a final at Perth Stadium and moronic. I don't know if we would have a say in it if the stadium was ready.

**** Fremantle and **** our admin

It shits me to tears how Fremantle consistently try to graft themselves on to WA football history. Can't achieve anything on their own but somehow think they have a right for a stand alone game to showcase WA football. Get ****ed

And our admin dont help by not giving a **** when it comes to promoting the game. First team in the women's league, nah don't bother let Fremantle fill that space. Do a send off to subi, nah Freo can do that

Get off your arses and ****ing promote the club you lazy shits to give something back to the supporters

Apparently their women's team bid was world class and ours was put together like a kid who did his whole history project the night before its due.

BTW if the leaked Adelaide fixture is true then it looks like we both will play our last game at home.
