A very good question, because his numbers are as good if not better than all of them and he's a good size and has good speed and seems to have a good attitude and so-on. So something must be missing.

He is meant to be a bit of a cock sure type. I don't think we like those types, I'm not holding my breath we get him. He literally said he kicks on his left when the opposition is shit, I assume to make it more challenging for himself. That's Nathan Buckley like FIGJAM.

Is it though?

I see it as an opportunity to improve my skills. Each to their own. I want Clark at 7.

god knows who we get at 7 and 8 but at 34 it would be good to get Kelly , played in the WAFL against men and some of them were AFL players - this to me shows they can make the grade and could be in the team from round one, has x-factor , however is he willing to head east
the guy is good
.
Exactly what type of player we need.

Surely WC strike with one of three top 20 picks. Otherwise if he is there at 34 we should strike.

A 23 year old played against men. Well I'll be damned.... :tearsofjoy:

Posters on main draft board saying that Dow is a flight risk and both Freo and Collingwood are keen on Fogarty.

1: LDU
2: Brayshaw
3: Rayner
4: Dow / Stephenson
5: Fogarty
6: Naughton / Murphy / Bonar
7: Dow / Cerra
8: Stephenson / Clarke / Coffield.

Got to dream

if I was picking the number one pick it would be LDU or Dow so I expect your list is about right.

Really it's what about the other teams want and need

Pick 1 (Brisbane): They need a marquee player who isn't going to do a Schache/Yeo/Longer/Polec/Docherty/Karnezis/etc. They won't go tall, they'll be looking at Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw.
Picks 2 & 5 (Freo): They'll be strategic, with two picks inside five they'll try to complement if they can. Go home factor a much smaller concern than Brisbane. Decent but unspectacular group of talls at both ends, they won't reach for one here with no fancied talls and with up to 7 picks in rounds three onwards. Wouldn't be surprising to see them end up with two of Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw.
Pick 3 (Carlton): They'll pick an ex-GWS player. Or more likely they'll also jump on the Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw train looking for a Gibbs replacement.
Pick 4 (North): The romantic pick would be Brayshaw with the family connections and with the way he's being talked about it wouldn't be a surprise. They've been linked to Stephenson and Cerra but that kind of talk has cooled. In many ways they could shape the draft, they could play it safe (or as safe as you get in this game) with one of Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw or they could get creative. It'd be a surprise but not out of the realms of reality to see them reach for a tall as their quality drops off sharply after Brown, Tarrant and the aging Thompson. Mostly they just need some star and marketing power after throwing money at everyone and getting no-one.
Pick 6 (Collingwood): We'll be watching the Pies pick closely. With Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw almost certainly gone this stage unless North and Freo pull surprises, their pick could steal our next preference or be irrelevant. If any of Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw/Cerra are on the board, do they take them? Recent mail is about a love affair with Fogarty. Naughton would really appeal because they're thinner for talls than North (who at least have some developing options in McKay and Durdin).

In short
Brisbane: Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw
Freo: Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw
Carlton: Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw
North: Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw/Cerra/Stephenson
Freo: Rayner/LDU/Dow/Brayshaw/Cerra/Stephenson
Collingwood: Fogarty/Naughton/slider
Us: NFI

You turned right off Stephenson?
I’ve never been much of a fan. Field kicking was my concern, his ticker adds to not wanting to select him.

I think we’ll end up with Clark & Bonar, which I’m happy with, getting Cerra would be a nice surprise though. I think Cerra will be best from the draft.

Has Bishop answered this question? Because no one seems to know the answer. IF we don't take him, it looks like Adelaide at 12 are the next ones in play after us. It's quite the gap, can't be that perfect.

Coffield to Collingwood talk seems to have died right off.
