I can see why this draft isn't has highly rated due to the lack of depth, but from what I've seen the top line talent is just as good, if not better than last years. Rayner and Stevenson putting on a clinic today.

Best game I have seen Stephenson play, not just the goals, getting more involved than he has been

Rayner is tough, smart, needs to build a tank as it is really poor, so forward only at this stage

For me, still no clear number 1, due to the lack of consistency. Probably similar to last year.

As you suggest HARKER O'Brien is all class. Would like to see what Stephenson is like in a tighter, tougher game, but he has always been a great finisher.

Rayner & Higgins have probably been the most consistent and both have a point of difference.

Cerra was quiet today, but still class

Constable continues to impress, think he will be an exceptional big bodied mid

Funny how this works as after the champs, we'll have our favourites and then start seeing things in some, we hadn't quite noticed before.

Seems as though we're going to be holding a top five pick and we should be pretty happy with that, given what we may gain.

Next Gen Academy as an indigenous boy that qualifies. Trained with us in the pre-season, and we get first dibs on him at the draft (all drafts, this was confirmed via Callum Twomey earlier this year).

I hope that Silvagni & Brodie call out J. Stephenson name come draft night , very quick, the most naturallly gifted footballer with X facotor.

X-Factor will come into play and I feel someone like Stephenson may well appeal ahead of the likes of LDU, Fogarty to Brisbane & North at least.
He doesn't have to be the best player in the draft but just someone they may find hard to find elsewhere.

I really like him because he has that mecurial talent/x factor that we lack, besides Curnow and SPS in the future, however we also need in build a solid midfield brigade of elite talent, which I can't see Stephenson playing that role. He strikes me as more a half forward or wingman who will flash in and out the game. In other words do we go the reliable accumulator midfielder or the highly talented outside jet?

Reliable accumulator probably isn't the best way to phrase what I meant. Perhaps out and out midfielder who can play inside and out. Stephenson seems like more your outside match winner icing on the cake but I see us needing a more rounded footballer like a Cerra
