i am well aware we have many other tall defenders, but i am sure white plays more a 4th tall, he is a nice size and very good defensively, where as most of our defenders are very attacking, i think if we are talking balance white stays
and if you take a look white is right up there with his efficiency this year, been more efficient than simpson, and i know simmo has been slightly off this year but you cant tell me hes been poor by foot.. i do know what you mean by he does make some poor choices, but i think youll find out of all the boys who are on the cusp of being delisted, white almost is the best of those decision makers, particularly this year
*Hopper should be significantly better than Steele.
At this stage they've shown roughly the same

I would trade between pick 8-12 in this draft for Hopper and 14-18 for Smith. However, not all of Hopper, Smith, Kelly and Whitfield will be leaving the giants and even if they did we are not getting all four. That is just so silly. Can you justify it?
Hopper, Whitfield and Griffin for pick 3.
Unfortunately pick 1 is looming for usLooks more like pick 2 after NM winning today.
Will be (pleasantly) surprised if we win another game.
Saints overpaid for Steele, and we'll be doing them favours as part of any trade, so it should still be around a 2nd rounder in net value.Hopper is significantly better than Steele

I read the north board and laugh at how unrealistic and ridiculous their hypothetical trade scenarios are and then you read this. I'm sorry but what that poster was putting forward was beyond a joke.Don't be so dismissive of other posters.
I think most posters here are looking through "blue goggles'" and taking a simplistic view of what players may cost.
SOS's genius is to take the time to understand other clubs desires/problems/contract issues/TPP problems and then come up with a solution that is in our best interest but also solves other clubs problems.
I suspect that Dusty may end up in Sydney.
Both clubs are "in the window" and would love to get a player of Dusty's ilk free of cost re picks/trades.
However both clubs are up to their gills re TPP.
So how can we relieve their TPP problems and get some players bundled for a discount in return.
It seems to me the obvious problems up there are Griffen and Tippett. There are probably others.
If you were Sydney and could get Tippett off your books so you could free up $ to get Dusty for nothing (as FA) would you do it?
In the blink of an eye!!!
So say we take Tippett and Zac Jones for pick 35 - sounds stupid initially but Sydney may be very happy with this.
Or maybe Griffen/Hopper for pick 30 so GWS can get Dusty for free.
SOS will not be doing straight forward deals - he will be most definitely be scheming up a plan!!!!!
i agree, he has been very solid in almost every game he has played, a steady head in the defence, very good depth player, can see another 1-3 years in him, alot of others to delist before white, rare he does much wrong
Not really, Hopper despite being younger and having been injured has still played more quality games of senior footy than Steele.*Hopper should be significantly better than Steele.

I think so as good as kelly is we hav to keep our picks and if gibbs and Casboult go we keep those picksHonestly hope we stick with the plan and keep all our draft picks. Bugger trading for high price guns. We are miles off it still.
Well , I'd say there's a good chance we will lose the remaining 4 games and quite possibly by heavy margins .
That would put us right in the frame for the wooden spoon .
History tells us that the 1st pick in the draft has only been traded once so , if we take it to the draft who do we select ?
Me tooBrett Anderson (SEN draft analyst) stated that as a junior Charlie reminded him of Roughie
Cameron Rayner
I have it on good authority we're going to be recruiting a couple of tall defenders and a couple of small mids
Plus a deal for a gws 'almost', but must take another with a salary dump also
Im certain he will for kellyI doubt SOS will part with our 1st pick this year or next
