Few juicy ones on offer. Hoefully our war chest can persuade at least one over to PP.

Mmmm, it almost sounds rosy.
Any names of targets you would like to share harker!?!By the sounds of things SOS is well advanced as to his 2017 targets............as he should be.
Seems to me that midfielders will be the primary targets and when you think about it, unless something really goes belly-up with our young talls, there may not be much of a need for them, other than a ruck-man and possibly a KPF.
Just can't see the value of topping up further in the tall department, unless some unexpected situations front up through the course of the year.
KP Backs as things currently stand:
Rowe who may be with us for a couple of years yet, whilst others develop.
Marchbank, who has clearly been brought to the club for a key position post.
Weitering, if he does indeed stay back, takes up a primary post.....no third-tall stuff.
Macreadie, a 196cm tall back. Maybe he can play forward also, but he is principally a back-man.
Glass-McCasker if he does come on, as expected, would ideally take over from Rowe as the shut down KPD.
Plowman. Yes he may be the third tall down back but at 193cm, he's no shortie either and has the strength to match-up to 195cm KPF's
It really does seem that we're covered for the KPD post and it wouldn't surprise that should the run-style develop further, there may not be a need for a third tall either and if so, why keep investing in this department?
KP Forwards as things currently stand:
McKay is a good bet to become a long-term KPF.
If the back-line functions without a need for Weitering, he goes forward and we're just about done, given we have a 193cm Silvagni, involved also.
I just don't think we need to overload on height, nor do I feel that will be the way the game goes.
Casboult and Jones aren't long term prospects and won't be included here and Jaksch, for all his talent, would need to come from a long way back.
Kerr? Maybe but a little too much to ask to bank on him becoming a viable option.
Charlie! Then there's Charlie. Even though he may be used through the midfield, he'll make for a terribly tough match-up forward and a height of 193cm would be enough for him not to become a key goal-kicking option. Has too many tools not to make good of his apparent non key-position height.
Of course, anything can yet come about by way of players leaving, getting injured, not coming on as expected etc, but no matter which way I look at it, I can't see a KPP being a major concern for us next year.

True. Finally looks like we may have some reasonable depth in the squad. It's what others take for granted, lets be honest
I'd ignore Hooper.Let's just take aboard what barass70 put forward.
Pretty sure you can find his post somewhere here, with a little search.
One thing you do learn though is that things do change as they go along.
That can come about because the club has changed its mind (several players), the player has been offered more elsewhere (see Prestia), or simply that the players' circumstances have changed and now is happy to stay put. (see Tomlinson)
It would be hard to ignore Shiel or Hooper though, wouldn't it?
Give me consistent pressure over flaky aberrations. Giveusit....They took Hawthorn to the cleaners did they not?
I see the hopper reference bht not shiel. Regardless, both would be worthy additions.Let's just take aboard what barass70 put forward.

I know we cop a lot of crap for taking so many GWS players, think SOS is trying to undo years of damage, by trying to bring in young talent from past drafts, which we absolutely butchered.
The 2010 draft was a knightmare for us, we now have
Gorriange pick 9
Smedts pick 14
Lamb pick 21
Nothing to write home about, but some handy depth potentially.
2011 draft another shocker of a draft, we now have
Sumner pick 10
Docherty pick 12
Kerrridge pick 27
Much more respectable with Doc a potential AA level player.
2012 more draft butching, although at the time I really rated Menzel, shows how starved for young talent we were
Plowman pick 3
KJ pick 12
Graham pick 54
Really liked what we saw from Plowman last year, particularly coming off no preseason.
2013 we had to get lucky some time and we hit the jackpot with Cripps.
Cripps pick 13
2014 Rogers absolute stuffed this draft, lucky SOS is around to help undo some of the damage.
Pickett pick 4
Marchbank pick 6
Boekhorst pick 19
2015 and 2016 look to be the turning point, from a drafting perspective and a great start for SOS, it does go to show just how stuffed we were and most likely still would be if SOS hadn't jumped on board.
Things are by no means perfect, but the picture is starting to take shape.
A nuclear bomb would have caused less damage.

Leave Warnock out of thisBut more 50ft mutant women .

And yet a dwindling few here still try to defend Rogers .
Hard to nail down his greatest blunder but surely informing the footy world of who he would delist at seasons end and then surprisingly getting nothing for them trade wise has to rank right up there ...
It would be like naming a player you are targeting during trade week and not being able to pony up the price. And yet a dwindling few here still try to defend Rogers .

He did "reach" for Cripps at 13, who is at very worst the second best player in his draft.
But everything else was crap
Chortle x100Leave Warnock out of this
Yep , going to enjoy watching Adelaide struggle to keep pace with the big boys through the midfield next season .
Making finals only for an immediate exit is straight out of the Tiger's play book .
Reid was shown to be quite the amateur.
