A midfield about as premium as you can get. Don't mind stacking it up with the lack of reliable forward options at the moment.

It's a great midfield but only works if thats your structure and you stick to it, and if you can fet enough playing FWD DEF rookies

So much depends on rookies, had a quick look tonight and most of the rookies we are all picking right now as most likelys aren't being picked in perspective round 1 sides on the team boards at this stage. Obviously will change once the JLT gets underway and kids get the chance to put their hand up, but for example from Richmond I doubt Bolton plays round 1 and Graham hasn't left the rehab group yet. Reckon we always end up spending more on rookies than we budget for at this time of year.

I've got 4 premos/2 rookies down back so that shouldn't be an issue. Forward line is a ugly though.

That's the way to go IMO.
Top 10 backs pick themselves but the forward line is scetchy at best.

Load up down back and take risks up forward looks like the way to go this year.

Dahl and Touk are my only "premos" up forward right now. If I downgrade all my more expensive rookies I can fit in a mid pricer forward (tempted by Bennell) but can't see it being worth it.

As good as Touk is he's not a premo more a speculative potential breakout pick.

As much as i'd love to see Jobe tear the season apart I don't think it will happen.
I believe the contested possession mantle that JPK has had a strangle hold on for the past... well forever will be passed to one Mr Cripps. If he was able to work on his pace and kicking disposal efficiency over the pre season he will be massive in 2017.

Being a biased kangaroos supporter i would suggest you guys take this with a grain of salt - this being said, with our massive axe swing this year generates massive opportunities for our young kids to step up. I am a big fan of Mason Wood tearing this season apart, with Dal, Wells, Boomer etc etc getting the lemon sars there is numerous positions to fill. Been tearing the pre season training to shreds and running like a man possessed. Good FWD POD

Has played 16 games of AFL. Won't be a top fwd.

Hrovat can score, just depends if he gets to play midfield or not. Would dominate the midfield in the VFL then get stuck in the froward pocket in the AFL team while at the dogs.

I think North has a shithouse midfield so he should get plenty of midfield minutes. Swallow is cooked, I think Ziebell is better as a 50/50 forward/mid, Cunnington is a gun but is slow AF, Wells and Harvey are gone. Can't think of anyone who is gonna take midfield minutes besides Clarke and Jacobs.

Sadly, Hrovat has been injured every year of his career. Why will this year be different?

Goldys a gun and is fit and flying. Someone st the kangas will benefit from that. Ziebell and Swallow are useless in SC, wells is gone, boomer is gone.

Categorically ahead of all of them though? If he is ahead (which I don't necessarily agree with you that he is), is he far enough ahead that he could play 2 or 3 average ones in a row and hold his spot? Lots of competition and uncertainty for spots at NM this year.
Then when you consider his price, what is he going to have to average to be a worthwhile selection?

What I saw of him last year he was a gun.
But I have Koby, Bennell and maybe Roughy in my team, so can't squeeze him in.

I'm with ya, but there's no point assembling a team with an unrealistic number of playing rookies. There are never enough with reasonable talent/JS which is why we always deviate from GNR come lockout. I am conservative in planning at this stage, 2 cheap onfield rooks max (eg Tippa Adams last year)
