Haha, no, my parents are great.
In fact, they have Foxtel. But when you live alone, you have to pick and choose what you want, I have great internet and streaming services, and a crows membership. So I won't be paying, what, $60 a month to watch our away games.
The rest of the stuff on Foxtel is garbage too.

I mistakenly signed up for the AFL Live app this year. The picture is about half the size of the iPad, no full screen. What a load of rubbish!

What? Its normally full screen.
Just checked its not, I'm sure it will change, they couldn't make it like this.

I usually go for the trial, but signed up straight away because it was fine last year. They've completely f'd the app up this year, removed a lot of the extra stats you got as well.

Plan on sending AFL and Telstra some constant criticisms on Twitter for awhile now.

I think they've made the resolution so low on the app so that it doesn't compete directly with Foxtel.
I believe they only have the license to show the games live on tablets and phones, and it looks kind of fine at that size.
Also, if you have a Google Chromecast or similar, it's really easy to cast the app to your TV, so I think they are deliberately keeping it shit.

If they have foxtel, you should be able to use their login to use on the foxtel go app, on a tablet or phone.

That's a fair point, iv'e never even thought of that.
To be honest though, it's not a huge issue. I've had the AFL live app the past couple years, and it does the job.

That explains it, gees that's horrible. Just pick up a Google Chromecast and stream it from your phone to the TV. It's not that much worse than SD (I can't believe we still have quality this bad in 2017).

Ive got foxtel so its no issue for me, but when I'm out and about i usually use the afl app as its free streaming on telstra.
