We may be a bit thin there though so I wouldn't be totally shocked if we offer Pick 1 to WCE for Nicnat and 12 to GWS for Mummy.

Offer all our our other draft picks to Port for Ryder and we will dominate the Ruck for years to come!!!!

I reckon the Dogs will be involved and we just have to wait for Stringer to move. It might look like Schache and 18 for their 9 and a late second rounder.

Edit: I also can see 9+12 being used for Freo's 5 and a later pick as well. Long way to go.

I think we should be stockpiling for 2018 draft. Schache to Hawthorn for 2018 1st is ideal.

I just can't see teams trading 2018 first round picks unless they really have to.

Definitely can't see a team trading thier 2018 first for a 2017 first just to get another early pick in this years draft. The talent just isn't there outside the top 10 or so.

Yeah, I'm thinking if the Motlop compo had been awarded before the Rocky compo, we would have got band 1. According to Dom on the lions podcast we were close as it was.

I think Motlop is a year younger.

My bet is the Motlop contract starts at 500 and has a ton of performance based incentives (which you really need for him) and they’re taken into account in the compensation turning the 500 to 600 or so.

You'd think if Adelaide are genuinely serious about Gibbs, then they'd be using 10 & 16 for a Gibbs offer first and foremost. Noble should laugh in their face if they want 12. Reckon we might be waiting to the bitter end for a Cameron deal to go through.

I mentioned Hartung a few weeks ago and things might be starting to fall into place. Would love to see him end up at Brisbane.

Just read on Twitter that Freo key defender Sam Collins just got delisted. 23 years old, just won the club champion award for Premiers Peel Thunder and was named a Thunders best on ground 6 times this year. Remember him looking very promising in the small amount games he played in the AFL a year or so ago.

would be competing with Gardiner I would think... I'm not the biggest Gardiner fan as most would know but I think Collins isn't as good. Could be cheap cover though.

We'd probably only be able to rookie him whilst there's a couple of other teams needing depth down back that could take him straight up. I doubt we're involved.

I'd be interested purely off the fact that Hawthorn picked him relatively early and he was taken in a draft year that plenty of depth. Would have to be that kind of deal though. Can't say he excites me that much though. He's quick, runs all day and is a decent "metres gained" style of player but he's horrendously outside, doesn't kick many goals and reminds me of Squizzy without the game sense and ability to kick goals. I guess he's only like 20 and has improved every year but I don't really see where he fits into our 22 assuming everyone is fit. A lot of guys we already have that need to earn a spot I'd rate ahead of him.

To be fair, he compensates for his inability to use the ball by not getting it.

3KZ, Hartung is the perfect age for a rebuilding Hawks. Still young but experience at the club during some very good times. The fact that they aren't offering him a contract says everything you need to know about him.
