The Northern Spy, Brian Waldron, was fairly blunt and adament that Charlie Cameron to Brisbane is a goer from both parties and that ( only ) a deal between Adelaide and Brisbane had to be worked out at the end of the season as Charlie still has a year to go on his contract.

His sureness surprised me but still taking it with a grain of salt.

A pick in the 20 - 30 range should get it done if it comes to fruition

It was mentioned on sen today that the Lions are interested in C Cameron, and he wants to go to the Lions.
only issue is he is contracted and a deal will need to be done.

I think it is a terible deal for us inregards to the pick 1 to GWS. Pick 1 is huge, to give it up for a couple of 2nd rounders and a very late 1st rounders is not good enough imo. Quality over quantity

Don't like the pick 1 deal, you wouldn't think GWS are finishing out of the top 4 for a while yet.

No way the Bombers would give up Parish for picks 14 and 18 alone IMO, without them having to give up 24 as well.

Come home Charlie Cameron, would be a great addition.

I'd give up Port's pick without any regret, he is an absolute gun and still young. Seeing the game live at the Gabba earlier in the year, his pace was just ridiculous.

I for one would love to see him in Lions colours. And running around at the Gabba.
Our pick 18. Wouldn't hesitate.

Both Adelaide and Brisbane have lost way too much talent all over these years and I'm confident a fair deal would happen. Would give up pick 18 for Charlie easily.

I just wish we could just rip off a Victorian club like Carlton or Richmond..

Yep - can't say I wouldn't like him at the feet of our talls moving forward...but, generally, rookie drafted small forwards don't get a 1st rounder in trade week.

Whilst only he's only 23 and elite with his pressure; has only kicked 4 goals twice in his career with the a lot of 0's and 1's. His 4 goal games came against Essendon last year and Brisbane this year (both bottom of ladder teams).

A pick between 25 - 30 is about right for mine.

I don't agree with this at all.

We traded pick 2 last year for 3 (McCluggage) and 16 (Berry). Incredibly astute recruiting. The AFL aren't going to overrule Noble's judgement if he decides to do similar again. They sent him here because they back his competence.

And it fits with the musings from Gil recently that he wants the bottom clubs to ascend as quickly as possible. Something that is more likely with multiple top picks. Not that we need their approval, but I think the AFL would jump at the idea.

From recollection, when it first was mentioned, some of our members went to your board looking to see if there were legs to it.

It was reported on SEN this morning, you could probably look 3 pages back to find it mentioned.

Ports pick now is 14. But I don't think even port supporters think that's where they will stay. Reckon til be more like 10 or lower next month will tell us.

10 for Cameron is not a good trade.
