Is it me or are we all starting to feel a cloud of despair fall over us.

It's getting a bit depressing seeing all these talented players head back to Victoria but any of ours dont want to touch us with a metre pole. Not to mention thst the squad is already in a precarious situation. Relying on the draft isnt a safe option either due to our recent history with ****wit vozzo and obrien

Really hope we pull some magic but this whole reliance on the draft has me very uneasy.

We do seem to be a club that is not really in discussion with trade movements, I am sure behind closed doors we must make contact but when we do it always seems the media miss out on hearing about it when we do.
Anyway we will wait and see, looks as though we will be pretty quite again.

I agree, you would imagine that would be a minimum requirement.

Walls openly admits he doesn't watch all games, in fact he starts nearly every comment about our players with "I haven't seen alot of them lately". The majority of our "professional" commentators are the same. Where do you think the comment "If he played in Victoria, he'd be a superstar" comes from?

Barrett and Wallace had a whole segment about it yesterday on Trade Radio. Barrett was swooning over Wallace because he said he sits down every week to watch all 9 games, like that was some sort of special talent. Barrett reckons he'd be the only one in the industry that does that. "No idea how you find the time Terry"

When that Robert Walls was on the couch he always said " I didnt see the Eagles game " . Very unprofessional cos I did see it. And I could watch every game when I was unemployed.

I watch on average about 5 games a week plus sometimes a replay of ours ( fri night, eagles, purples plus 2 more) and i work full-time have 2 kids in sports +45s + busy social life not to mention how much time i spend on here. I honestly don't understand how these " experts " don't watch every game plus some reserves my only guess is that they are so busy jerking each other off.

Monocle , AsterixTheGaul what do you guys think of Adam Sambono? What do you think he is worth? If you had to choose between him and Liam Ryan, who would you take?

I would take Sambono over Ryan as I am not as hot on Liam as others. Range for Sambono - tough one. Possibly 3rd if you have seen more of him but not earlier for me. He has some real electric skills that are exciting and either pick him late speculatively or earlier if you have done the due diligence.

I agree with this as i think we really need the extra pick to re-build the midfield...

I'm happy if he stays, but Vozzo would be derelict in his duty if he refused to consider a trade and failed to lock Gaff into a long term deal before the end of trade period.

Gaff is a complimentary midfielder- very damaging as an outlet option getting into space and can hurt sides through weight of possession. He isn't the type of mid that can change the course of a game though

We either get him to commit to a new deal that takes him beyond 2018 or make it clear he's available at the right price which is starts at a top 10 pick

He'd be a good fit for st kinda as a Montagna replacement

Hopefully Gaff will be upfront with the club on whether he intends to stay with the club long-term or is still considering a return to Victoria in the next few years.
