Your correct both Kennedy & Smith will nominate CFC as preferred destination. They're uncontracted so would be cheaper than picks 7 or 8.
I'd trade pick 3 for picks 7&8 straight swap.

No one is trading 3 for 7 and 8 in a draft like this.

I think its a bit easier to be objective about other teams so here's Adelaide Crows what I'd try and do

Cameron plus Pick 34 to Brisbane for Pick 14 and Pick 41
Lever plus Pick 41 to Melbourne for Pick 10 and Melbourne 2nd Round pick next year
Pick 10 and Adelaide 2nd Round pick next year for Gibbs
Pick 14 and Pick 16 and Melb 2nd Round next year for Western Bulldogs Pick 9 plus Lewis Young

In Gibbs, Pick 10, Pick 9, Lewis Young
Out Cameron, Lever, Pick 16,Pick 34, Adelaide 2nd Round next year

I'll try Port too but not too much to work with this year. We'll be hoping that we get Motlop and Rockliff by free agency.

Brendan AhChee to West Coast for Pick 46
Impey and Pick 49 to Western Bulldogs for Pick 26
Young, Lobbe Pick 26, Pick 31 to Gold Coast for Pick 22, Pick 24, Shaw
Pick 22 to Melbourne for Watts

In Watts, Shaw, Pick 24, Pick 46 Motlop(fa), Rockliff (fa)
Out AhChee, Young, Lobbe, Impey, Trengove (fa) Pick 31, Pick 49

Not sure what becomes of Matt Lobbe. Not sure he'd want to go to GCS where he'd likely sit behind Witts.

I'm not sure - at Port he sits behind Ryder - he has been linked to Gold Coast - I assume Nicholls is on their list of outs so need a back up ruckman. They appear to be trying to get some older bodies into the club to help with their new lot of young high draft choices. I guess they are trying to learn from their previous mistake. I think what would be the biggest point will be money because he is on big coin at Port.

I think we have pick 48?

I'd be very surprised if we gave up our third rounder for Ah Chee.

He's not going to be delisted and he's been linked with West Coast apparently. We originally got him in the low 30's I think. Tell me what do you think Karpany is worth?

Karpany just-resigned. If he was uncontracted he would only be worth a token pick.

Ah Chee was taken at pick 45 - he has been at Port for 6 years. He has played 27 games in that time including 5 this year. I can't see how he would demand a pick in the 40s.

Well you maybe correct - I'd price Ah Chee similar to Karpany if that is 50 or 60 or 70 who knows.but other guys who are not in the first 22 have been drafted around that level before, it all depends on how much you want him. As a guide Nankervis 45, Currie 53, Liam Jones 46. In the last 3 drafts they are the only instances of a player being traded for a pick in the 40's or 50's. Which shows that a pick in the 40's or 50's is not valued by the clubs. They more often use trades at this level to upgrade the picks they already have. So maybe that is a more realistic scenario

I think Lyons was traded for 43 and an insignificant late pick swap last year. He definitely had a lot more value.

Kersten for 63 maybe comparable?Witts a pick in the 40s and 60s. They paid more but he was definitely worth more.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what happens. I'd rate him as worth more than Karpany, but neither with much value.

Personally I'd be happy to have him, but I'd prefer to offer our 4th and risk not getting him as opposed to using pick 48 which I think we'd be better taking to the draft or trading for someone else.

Dan Houston plus pick 29 and pick 49 for Jack Watts and pick 45?

Pick 49 to Freo for Harley Balic?

pick 29 + pick 27+ pick 64 for pick 16 and 88 from the Tigers

Pick 10 plus pick 16 for Lever + pick 35

In: Dan Houston, Harley Balic, Jake Lever, pick 35, pick 88

Out: Jack Watts, pick 45, pick 10, pick 27, pick 64

How likely/unlikely are all of these trades? Richmond one probably a stretch but they might want points to match father son bids for Naish and technically those three picks are an upgrade points wise for the Tigers on their first rounder.

Dee's would take Adelaide's second to the draft, likely for Bayley Fritsch, and use two fifth rounder to upgrade Smith and Maynard, perhaps using a sixth rounder to upgrade Kielty if we want.

No way in hell are Tigers trading pick 16 for 27 +29 and an upgrade from 88 to 64. Just not happening any day of the week...

Dont see why not, would happily do that in their position.

They don't want picks especially the combined value of 27+29 which I feel is less valuable than pick 16 alone, they will want players if picks are going out.

Honestly watch this space: Richmond want players, Hawthorn want picks... wouldn't be surprised to see some of our premiership players move to Richmond in the coming trade period. Richmond will want to bolster the team for another crack...

Don't forget they have a father son bid coming, a fair chance it'll come 14-15, that proposed trade gives them 1457 points and only costs them 1067.

Also I know you guys want the best picks possible but I think 23 or 27 would enough for any of them atm.

Matthew Lobbe is still contracted? Not a good piece of business by the Power there.

With what happened yesterday it might turn out to be a good piece of business yet.

Duryea to Port as a free agent, pick 43 compensation

Whitecross, Hodge, pick 60 & 79 for Pick 41

Heatherley for Pick 61

Puopolo & 42 for pick 25

Picks 23, 32, 41, 42 & 61 + A rookie upgrade in the draft
