While I understand they may loss Lynch - it blows my mind that May would walk as well. To lose both captains in one go is just a disaster

I did the ladder predictor and had us finishing 16th a game below the Saints. I don't think the Suns will win another game. I tipped Carlton to beat the Suns and no other games and we beat the Suns and Carlton. We could jump the Saints if we win another upset.
Doing the ladder predictor myself, I ended up with what I expected - Carlton 16th, us 17th, Gold Coast last. Carlton have really impressed me the last few weeks, and I think they're set for a strong end to the year with that fixture. They are a year ahead of us in terms of their rebuild and I expect that to start to show.
Ultimately I think the QClash in a month's time may well decide the wooden spoon.

Do you have us winning on the weekend in these predictions?
Getting Murphy back is huge and if Marchbank and Kreuzer can finish the year strongly it'll be a great help for them but they just don't have the forward line to kick a decent total or a backline and midfield to keep an opponent to a small total.
They've kicked over 80 points twice in 14 games. We have 8 times. I can't see them winning 2 more games than us.
Not sure why you think Berry is a better option than McFadyen? Bit of a romantic selection because he's Jarrod's brother, perhaps. Berry couldn't get a run in the midfield in the weakest team in the champs. I'd say Berry's not a high second round pick as it stands now. But sure, if he shows something in the rest of the TAC cup he could rise. It's a pretty good achievement to make all Australian though and Connor has AFL attributes imo.Good to see, as long as he gets past our 2nd round selection (Thomas Berry).
Fantastic that our academy has developed a big bodied midfielder.
Not even Zac wants to live in AdelaideWhy not take Rankine and Faganise him....let's face it....who wants to live in Adelaide? (only crazy anti Voss wingmen) Mayes doesn't...he has seen the light.
Not sure if it’s mentioned in the next 3 pages, but Max King is rehabbing at St Kilda. At the absolute tops we will finish 15th so assuming the Suns get band 1 for Lynch that would mean pick 5 for us.
IMO we still end up with one of Jack Lukosius, Sam Walsh, Bailey Smith or Izak Rankine. The King twins are very highly rated on all draft boards I have seen, you would think one of the Blues, Suns or Saints would at least take one of them.
From the stuff I have read and the vision I have seen albeit small I like Berry over McFadyen. My comment was more about getting another open draft player in before having to match an academy bid, could be Berry but another option would be good as well. A couple of pundits on the DT&FA board have Thomas Berry rated pretty highly (around the 20 mark) and have been dumbfounded as to why he has been played out of position at the championships. Not sure why you think Berry is a better option than McFadyen? I lived what seemed a lifetime one weekend in Adelaide earlier this year. Not even Zac wants to live in Adelaide
Fair enough. It would be good to get McFadyen later as you say. My gut feeling is that there'll be some pretty elite talent around at the beginning of the 2nd round, which is great for us.From the stuff I have read and the vision I have seen albeit small I like Berry over McFadyen. I'm with you in this one. Over on the preview thread, there are discussions about when the last time we had a 100+ point victory was, as though we're in with a chance for one this week. I might be a little more skeptical. To be honest, I don't like the leadup to this. We haven't played well after a win in a long time and haven't played well against lower opposition all year.Doing the ladder predictor myself, I ended up with what I expected - Carlton 16th, us 17th, Gold Coast last. Carlton have had poor results, but really, in hindsight, they didn't have an easy draw early in the year. But they pushed the Tigers, Pies and Eagles, and weren't far off against the Power last week. They had a big loss early against the Roos, which at the time looked laughable, but in hindsight looks a lot more understandable. They've had a few lapses this year, sure, but they've also put together some good passages.
I have the Blues in with a decent chance for wins against Lions, Saints, Suns, Dockers, and Dogs. Plus, if the last round is against an injury-ravaged and eliminated Crows, and the Blues need to win to avoid the spoon, I wouldn't be betting against them. Their only other games are the Hawks and Giants, neither of whom have been setting the world on fire. Really, you wouldn't say that they have a single game left against a premiership contender. I'm not saying they're in finals contention, but I could easily see them stealing another 3 wins out of that pile.

I also have them ahead of us in the rebuild. We have some very promising potential A Graders. So do they. I'd have them having better B Graders than us though, and they'll have an easier time luring talent from other teams, simply because they're in Melbourne. I can imagine a similar conversation on the Carlton board...In what world is Carlton’s list more advanced then ours I’d argue that all day long. Apart from Curnow and Cripps
Who is going to be banged up by the time he is 25 I don’t see any of there playees better then ours if you put them head to head. I’d take Andrews over Weitering everyday of the week Rayner over Dow and McCluggage and berry over sps and Kennedy. Go go on but I think when both these teams are in the frame I’d back ya to beat them on most occasions.
I hope Berry tags Cripps. Last year Rocky tagged Gibbs and it was a key element in our victory. I don't quite understand why fages waited to round 15 before putting someone on the opposition best player? What changed between the previous 14 rounds and round 15? I don't say do it every week but if it helps get a win then why wouldn't you?
Fagan said in his presser that the Berry tag on Fyfe then Neale was more about his development as a player than that particular game IIRC.I hope Berry tags Cripps. I'll take responsibility for the talk about a 100+ point win in the preview thread, it was with tongue firmly implanted in cheek though, 12 goal+ would be fine.I'm with you in this one.
