May and Pick 29 = pick 5 is quite reasonable
GC gave up pick 2 for Weller and pick 41 .

Just because we gave up Pick 2 for Weller and 41 doesn't make this trade right....

I'd be very upset if we give up any pick in a trade for May. He's worth at least 5 by himself. If he wants to leave, then #5 is a minimum, otherwise he can play for us next year and we'll get at least #5 then when he goes, as an FA

I get where you at , but are GC going to use pick 29 if melb send pick 5 to GC . Same logic by giving up pick 32,41,44 for pick 24 .through the Brisbane trade as Suns not going to use pick 32, 41,44 .in this year draft .

I've got no idea what our Footy dept. has in mind, but neither do you. Everything that is posted here is all opinions and suppositions.....

But I'm very firm when I say I'd be disappointed if we give a pick back for May......that doesn't mean though that it won't happen, just that I'd be disappointed.

I was trying to figure out what you meant by that so I hit on “show ignored content” and see it was in response to gcsunsfc responding to me.
It sort of sucks that if you have someone on ignore that they can still reply and take pot shots that you are unaware of.
I have zero time for gcsunsfc.

Time for us to put the screws on like a couple of teams have done to us. If Melbourne (and as an extension Freo) cannot come up with pick 5 and a second rounder at a minimum for May and KK, then the Hogan (and probably Neale) deal falls over.
Neither May nor Hogan have come out and said they want to stay or go as yet. This probably means both are willing to go if a trade deal can be struck.
I’d also hit North up for a future second rounder for Hall (plus maybe a swap of later picks). Can’t have our players going on another club’s website announcing they’re coming before a trade has been struck. Imagine if Steele Sidebottom went onto Carlton’s site and did something similar. Eddie would blow a gasket.

Possibility are there , but I think GC can wait until live draft trading to get more from other club.

I think only if we could then trade again

The thinking that the dogs will take rozee who we apparently want.

So give 3 for 10+11
Then
Give st Kilda 10+19 for 4
Or freo 11+19 for 6

Essentially us moving 3 > 6 where we still get our guy.
for An upgrade from 19>10/11.

I would do that if the whole transaction could be guaranteed but just seems too tricky by half and something that we would probably stuff.

I would say 0% chance. Suns have already signed up 4 mature players (Miles, Ellis, Burgess, Corbett) and 2 more coming at least (GHS and 1 more preselection). At present, Suns have picks 2, 3, 19, 24, 29,..., possibly 5-6 for May. Suns will use max 4-5 picks plus get 2 academy players as rookies probably. Still picks for KK, Hall, possibly Scrimshaw coming. Suns don's need more picks. It would actually not surprised me if Suns tried to bundle picks and make a play for pick 6-7. Also there is significant drop off in quality after pick 8. No real big difference between picks 9-25.
