Just to be clear - my previous comment was in relation to St Kilda asking about Tommo. I too have liked how Logan has been progressing, and at one stage similarly wondered if he might make his way back to us. Sort of lost that thought when Jack Steele bailed on us 12 months ago, given how much they were friends. This news seems to have put the nail into the coffin, although very late in the trade window to ask.

Yep, expecting some shitfights, late trades, and a surprise or two across the whole board. Hopefully less on the surprises front for GWS. I am expecting maybe a ruck to replace Mummy, but just a backup on low money (Zac Clarke maybe?). More so, I want the trading team to hold out for fair value for Matt K & Nathan Wilson. Suspect we would like one more pick this year and one 2018 pick (or maybe that's simply my projected outcome).

I think it's a bold move to trade Gibbs for the Blues. I get he's the wrong age profile for them. Pulling a very solid plank out if a developing team could have consequences though. They seem solidly behind Bolton, but their members are giong to want to the Footy with confidence they can sing the song after the game. Maybe they saw little choice if he doesn't want to stay.
Got to be good for Matt though, they're going to be looking for him to step up, and it's a vote of confidence in him to some extent I think.

I would be shocked if we trade Kennedy for Adelaide's 2018 second round pick. We've said we want something better than pick 30, but that pick is likely to be mid-30s at best next year.

I'd be worried if any club was doing their trades based on gambling on surprises. They might head down to the TAB to try and double the budget at the same time.
