If we were able to get him fit who would be ahead?1 2nd is too much imo
He'd be 28 next year.
A second rounder for someone as good as DH pending medical is a good deal IMO, it is not like he is 30.

Didnt realise he was so damn young. thought he was 19When you think about it how many AFL players actually run and bounce carrying to ball at full speed? Most names coming up would be wingers. Now midfielders? Only Danger's name comes to mind. We have a kid who uses his speed and burst and isn't afraid to use it and will only get better and better as he realises what he can do. Dow is 18 years old...which is simply amazing.
Lol wtf. Very disrespectful to Bryce. After reviewing videos of Walsh, he plays a lot of Bryce Gibbs. He won't win you a game but will consistently get 20 possessions and has no pace. Will probably become B grade like Bryce Gibbs.
I think we need to take Lukosius would has everything to become A grade.

Will be showing it to my year 8 English class doing poetry right now.

He could be a bargain! But... i feel he would actually cost a mid 1st. Sydney wont let him leave for a 2nd.If we were able to get him fit who would be ahead?

Gee SOS did well getting curnow and mckay.
They are looking like a strong partnership once further developed and we have a better midfield for supply.
Hipwood looks good but both schache and weideman are struggling.
I just want to say this.
I had glandular fever which became chronic fatigue. This stopped me dead in the tracks from 16 to 18. My Dad then died and 3 months later I found myself caring for a dying mother 24/7 (she refused medical help as multiple doctors advised that there was nothing that could help her) until a week before my 22nd birthday when she died. Clearly, I didn't have an education (highest was Year 10 when she died). Since then, I've gotten my Year 12 completed, worked overseas in professional sport, and now have 3 university degrees to my name.
The way that I see it, he's poured his energy into becoming a high level athlete, has played 16 games (and counting) in his first professional season for the reigning premiers who are going to win the minor premiership. If he applies himself to his career as much as he already has done he will have earned a significant amount of career earnings by the time that he's 23-25 (if he has a 5-7 year career, if he has longer he's laughing).
He's so far ahead of where I was at and I think, for the most part, I came out of everything pretty well all things considered. He can go back to school, get his year 12 or even do a tertiary level degree in something that he's passionate about and launch a successful post-football career.
Not completing high school by the age of 18 isn't for everyone nor does it necessarily state that a young bloke is immature or lazy. I believe it will become something that is considered more beneficial for guys with big league careers ahead of them. Drop out of school, get professional coaching and be fully prepared for the professional level. I know plenty of people who finish high school and have the mentality of a six year old while I know plenty of people who were never academics and are highly professional people.
Have you watched videos of Lukosius yet? When you do let me know and I'll tell SOS.After reviewing videos of Walsh, he plays a lot of Bryce Gibbs. He won't win you a game but will consistently get 20 possessions and has no pace. Will probably become B grade like Bryce Gibbs.

Working it into a lesson plan...How did they rate it?
(and FWIW - as poignant and insightful as many of my musings are on here - for anyone who has seen the movie 'idiot box' (highly under-rated low-budget aussie film from the 90's) ... that was the genesis for the 'poem' and it was very much tongue-in-cheek)
Could have had Hipwood and Charlie. Imagine that!Gee SOS did well getting curnow and mckay.

Happy with McKay though, has come a long way this last 2 months.
Inspirational stuff Wickzki, cheers.I just want to say this.

Thats comforting in a strange way. Other than academy looks like we got 2 of the best forwards in a kpp loaded draft.Hipwood was a member of Brisbane's academy, so that couldn't have happened.
Not THAT amazing. Many of our under 20s are 18.
An even higher percentage of our U18s are both under 19 AND under 20 too.An even larger percentage of our under 19s are 18.
More midsHow many of each position do we need?
3 ruck + 1 2ndary
10 Forward + 6 2nd
11 defense + 5 2nd
16 mids?
Not including rookies. Is that fair?
An even higher percentage of our U18s are both under 19 AND under 20 too.
two 2nds? do you know freo gave up one second rounder and a late round pick swap?Right now? I think there is a perception he is cooked, i think if we offered 2 seconds that may get it done.
His last year wasn't as good as the year before and this has been his worst season by far.
You wouldn't need a first surely given the situation around why his name is being floated around as a trade target.

Id take wilson every day of the week over dahlhaus and three times on Sunday.
3rd rounder for Dahl at most imo
