Stack not getting picked is a madness!! Something must be wrong with his attitude cause he has all the tools. Suspect we didn’t take Pickett because we snagged bytes but wou,d of been a good impact player so disappointed he didn’t get selected as a rookie. Quick question with bytel, are his stress fractures really bad that it could affect him in the future or should it be something he comes back from after some time and that’ll be the end of it???
Hope it’s not career threatening

Seems a few rumours about him off field. He looks a gun.

Callum Wilkie
Rebounding defender.
191cm
87kg
22yo

Won the BnF for North Adelaide in their premiership year.

STRENGTHS: Marking, accumulation, versatility, smarts, consistency
IMPROVEMENTS: Disposal efficiency

Callum Wilkie is a 22 year-old third tall drop off defender. And has capped off his great year winning the best and fairest for premiers, North Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Wilkie was a standout junior footballer, and played mainly forward for a number of SA State teams, but it has been his move into defence which has brought him back to the attention of the AFL. Wilkie is a marking machine, regularly taking 10-plus marks per game and 20-plus possessions. Wilkie also provides run off half-back and can slip forward to kick a goal as well. A smart footballer his ability to intercept, and quickly play on or switch the ball puts immediate pressure back onto the opposition. In 2018, he played 22 of a possible 23 games, averaging 25.5 disposals and 8.6 marks per game, as well as almost four rebounds per game.

Looks a unit.

Don't know about you mob, but I am bloody excited for next year! Even if we somehow don't improve our ladder position, at least we now have some excitement machines out there to watch.
Yep I’ve got a horn.

Bytel froff, and who knows on the three pacy mature agers. Love Young’s aggression. Quick run down tackle, slaps it forward to Parker to sit on a couple of heads.

What happened with Tom Jok?
Thought we were keen or was he just a smoke screen?

He was already upgraded.

The picks being tracked in the draft were the 'live' picks, nothing used for upgrades.

Senior list changes -

Hickey - Marshall
Freeman - Hannebery
Stevens - Kent
Goddard - King
Weller - Bytel
Gilbert - Hind
Wright - Parker
Minch - Young

We have 1 rookie spot to fill with Marshall now on the senior list.
That’s a hell of an upgrade. Well done saints

It was a very good draft for the saints we addressed some needs and things fell our way.

After king I didn’t really have much hope that we would be able to land a genuine A grade mid without trading away next years first. Against all odds bytel fell into our lap, I wonder if hawthorn had matched Essendons bid on mosquito would we have bytel now?. I think maybe the fist pumping dodoro screwed himself over.

After king and bytel it would have been easy to just call out a few youngsters but someone has clearly put some thought into our list both in terms of age and needs. I like that we went for pace and mature ready to go experienced players. Their young enough to have good careers with us but mature bodied guys desperate and ready to go.

I think it’s a big tick to the recruiting team from me.

If Gresham, JB and Kent are going to be predominantly midfielders, where are we going to play Ross, Steven, Hanners, Steele, Dunstan, Hunter, Coffield, Acres, Newnes, Sinclair, Phillips, and Bytel? Somebody isn't going to fit.

Go Saints

I would’ve like to see us take Zac Foot at 47 but other than that I’m happy with the haul. Looks like we’ve taken a few thugs
Very underrated, guys who play on the edge make the pure ball players walk taller and the opposition think twice.

Long, white and a couple of others took it up to the opposition in a game last year and we looked like a different team.
