All clubs lose some players.

Wouldn't Team A, who continually lose gun players yet still kicks the living piss out of Team B and makes a GF, be more impressive than Team B who keeps their gun players yet still gets said piss livingly kicked out of them? I prefer my side of the fence to be honest.

Maybe there’s less demand for your players?

as keeping them hasn’t brought you positive results, you can hardly say other clubs were wrong to not want your stuff

Better question might be whether you pushed up the price by bidding against yourself?

Ollie reminds me of Mark Cosgrove.

Great natural talent and burst on to the scene. Then got comfortable and never able to get the best out of himself physically and mentally to take the extra step. But very good at the level they reached.

Both enjoy well paid careers though.
