How much cash do you have left over?

300k... if i upgrade one of the mid rookies to a premo then i'll have to downgrade somewhere else where there are much less rookie options.

bit of a risk obviously in that i have to select the on field rookies really well the first few weeks & get a good captain score. but high reward if my mid rooks do reasonably well & jump early in price & that 300k will come in handy to get an in form mid i know i will have missed

Just Leave $120K to upgrade one of Mitchell or Dusty .....in that way, you use just the one corrective trade

In DEF ....take just one of Coffield or Naughton ......you must get Murray into your side !

Use your cash & downgrading of a premium DEF Rookie to get at least one more Premium FWD .....upgrade Rayner, he won't be a good return on your investment, or score enough points

Need extra cash ? ....downgrade a premium mid for F6 .....the fwd Rookies are aweful, most sides are running maybe 1 on-field Rookie

To answer your question though.

Billing’s will be more consistent imo. Scoring between 90-100 most weeks
Gray has a higher ceiling. He could get scores of 120 but I also think he’s susceptible to scores of 70-80.

Think you need both ......i'm still deciding whether to carry Gray for R1 & his suspension ......he's in / out of my side so many times, over this decision ....my poor mouse is stuffed

Next year I'm going to remember to start my team later. It's been a very stressful time. I've made a million different reshuffles but I think I've finally decided to settle on this (rook alterations to come obv).

- Cripps has been in my team the whole time but decided not to risk it.

- TMitch and JOM have made there way into my team for the first time. Reason being I only want to Start 4PM and Cogs. I think starting 4 is pretty thin so one of those 4 couldn't have been Cripps. And JOM gives me flexibility to go for a quick upgrade.

- I flirted with a 2 Premo Ruck side and I just cant decide on R2 so I like the flexibility Lycett gives me. Only way I change is to Dawson.... is he the better option?

- I couldn't work out why so many where starting T.McLean but done some research and I can't see his numbers dipping.. DOGS FANS please help me out.. will we see a breakout?

- Underatand I'm light in Defense but I feel D rook options are way better than F ones and Sicily gives me flexibility just in case.

Feedback is very welcomed. Hopefully you can't sway me into more changes. Test my resolve people.

I wouldn't pick Gray knowing that he will miss 2 games in the first 10 rounds. Looks good to me apart from that.

Really like this team. Good spread of players I reckon. I was thinking the same in regards to the mid-pricers, just got a gut feeling about them though.

I wouldn't pick Gray knowing that he will miss 2 games in the first 10 rounds. Looks good to me apart from that.

I feel like Gray is likely a great buy after his bye. Get to make sure he's fit and firing like we know Robbie can, then ride him through the rest of the Byes scoring like a bandit.

JRyan23 Any consideration for Darcy Macpherson? Lots of people talking about Bell and Christensen but I would have him in the same category. Played as a mid in JLT and scored okay. Thoughts?

He’s super small, not particularly skilled, not lightning quick.

Tried hard but even when tackles doesn’t bring anyone to ground because he’s 68kg.

Don’t think he’s an afl player to be completely honest.

And can only play as a small pressure forward..

Sicily won't give you much flexibility when you don't have a fwd dpp in defense to match. You need Keefe.

Keefe IMO won't play. I don't think you need to start him at all to take advantage of the flexibility I'm speaking off. The flexibility I'm referring to is to have him there for correctional trades if an underporfming Rook defender needs to go or I miss a must have rookie in the forward line.

Keefe will come from an early downgrade to get Sicilys full worth.

DEF: Laird, Hibberd, Johannisen, Kolo, Doedee, Murray ( Finlayson, Keefe)

MID: Martin, Mitchell, Merrett, Fyfe, Cripps, LDU, Banfield, Kelly (Constable, Barry, Holman)

R: Gawn, Nankervis (Olango)

FWD: Franklin, Walters, Petracca, Smith, Sicily, Fritsch (Venables, Ryan)

Third premo defender is hard to pick after Laird and Hibberd imo.

There seems to be no real standout.

So glad you had the guts to put Gray in your side .....i'm trying to have the same courage as you to take a 1 week hit

Trouble is your reserves provide "shit" coverage .....can i suggest you pull Sicily FWD to F6 ....Fritsch will then be your Gray coverage & Finlayson will be better than those other FWD Rookies

Im very wary of hurley.

Injury prone
Requires a heap of the pill to score well.
If ambrose/hartley is being shat on will have to play on their opponent instead.

Goddard spending more time down back may also be fed the ball to distribute it instead

He will get lots of tackles and he will play as a small forward. Not good job security with about 4 blokes (Holman, MacPherson, Sexton and Lemmens (when fit) all fighting for one maybe two spots. Too risky at his price IMO, especially with Job security

I have Tom Lynch in my team ATM, being a GC man JR, what are your thoughts on him? Their early draw is ok. I'm hoping he can score well and also make some quick money and then I might get off him. Plus he is my fav player.
