Would you say they're unreasonable PODs though?

Hard to tell pre JLT.

I do like Roberton & Shaw. Tuohy not so much.

Pendles I think will spend less time on the ball & Beams will miss a few games.

Rucks could work out if Goldy gets back. But will he?

I think Dahlhaus is full priced and I'd take one of Barlow or Wallis.

I don't think any one pick is a bad pick but there a lot of picks out there that could go south. I'd be looking to contain that risk. That or enter two teams..... :)

1k left over

Took all the second year players out.

Tossing up:
Witherden, McGrath, Barlow & Lobb
V
McDonald, Wilson, Smith & Petracca

Any feeeback is appreciated.

Really very good side ......similar to mine, the major concern i have is with Lycett, who has never been a SC popular player, and i find it hard to see that he is suddenly R2 material ?

Plus if he fails ....at his price, how do you replace him with a 2nd trade involved ?

Ceglar/Simpson

Thanks for the feedback

Fair enough, I'm happy to back in the more proven guys like Pendles and Goldy. Barlow could be an upgrade after his bye.

The notion of missing a few games is an interesting one, and seems to be only applied to certain players. A lot of teams have Fyfe and you don't often hear about him never playing a full season.

Hibberd to LMac, Pendles to Cripps, Jacobs to Longer or Billings to McLean are changes I'd be happy to make if I needed more funds for get high-price rookies

Devon and Christenson are a no from me.

Also, **** Jacobs. Useless red nut can't even beat Sean Grigg in the ruck FFS.

The rest of the team is lit :fire:

15 keepers hopefully, 50k in the bank. Starting to like McGovern over Hibberd. WC ain't winning no clearances this year which should help McGovern. Had a 145 in the finals.

solid.
nothing groundbreaking, but not a mass of speculative mid-pricers either...seems like a good safe place to start.
i like :thumbsu:

I'm completely off Laird & Pendles, but that's just my gut. Jacobs, hasn't been the same since they changed the HTA scoring.

Crouch as M2 is a unique but it would be hard to argue he won't be top 10 by end of year.

You do have 4 players in that $400k band (I'm not including McGovern who I think will go huuge this year). That seems to optimistic to get all 4 to break out. Pick 2, down grade one, upgrade another.

I'm super happy with this lineup. I'm happy to take a few mid-price gambles in my backline and forwardline. Let me know where ive gone wrong!

Excellent looking side .....the Brayshaw at D4 is very interesting choice, and could be a winner

I have reservations at this stage of proceedings as to the strength of Rookies in defense ......i've also got Sicily, but as a D3, that may be a touch too risky IMO

Probably one extra "proven" defensive premo is required ......the current defensive setup just looks too much hit or miss ATM ;)

Thanks for the feedback.

I'd love an extra premium defender but unfortunately i only have about 8k leftover and im very reluctant to touch my mids or rucks which then means i would need to downgrade Heeney/Billings/Lobb to get the extra cash required to upgrade Sicily/Brayshaw. Doing that leaves my forwardline looking a bit weak. At the moment im also concerned about backline rookies but i think im happy to keep this team until JLT. If there still don't appear to be many good rookie defenders after JLT ill strongly consider downgrading a forward or mid.

Put Hurn at D1 then
Reckon his scoring will be seriously curtailed because of the weight of expectation you have put on him means he'll be down on the ground unable to lift himself up. Might pick up the odd SC points here and there when the ball hits him as he drags himself around. When an opposition player is nearby, stick an arm or leg out, trip the guy, give away a free kick and get reported. Then the coach will have him dragged off the field, literally. :openlock:

Thanks mate, I've dropped Barlow for Gray and will drop Laird if we have the rookies. But pendles I cannot fathom dropping, love him too much
