I wouldn’t replace a small for him I’d be playing him in place of a tall. We’re happy to play Paddy who offers absolutely nothing defensively who isn’t close to averaging 2 goals a game yet we can’t squeeze Menzel in? Obviously you couldn’t have both in the same team but if Paddy is having another season like his last three I’d have no problem making that swap.

Menzel actually averaged more than 3 per game over the 1st 4 games. 5 goals against the Saints.
But then he averaged 1.6 for the rest of the season.
He averaged a tackle per game and 4 contested possessions. 3 clearances for the season.

Lonie started slow but averaged 1.5 for the season. He averaged 2 per game in his last 6.
2 tackles per game. 4 cp's and 7 clearances.

A bit more scoring potential than Lonie, but Lonie is still only 22 and is improving as he gets older.

Wasn't a future second. The rules, if the AFL can be bothered following them any more, state you can trade a future first or a future second, third, fourth and/or eighteenth, etc.

We currently have no pick in the second round next year, ergo cannot trade our first.

They would of taken Menzel , however with the excess of young forwards deemed he was not needed.

Membery , Bruce , McCartin , Battle , Marshall

one thing I must say is the guy is a highly skilled player and can impact a game , but he would be better going to a club that would give him the game time he wants.

Strange that Geelong have effectively swapped out Menzel for Rohan. Think Menzel impacts more games and Rohan’s defensive efforts don’t feel that much better. That being said I haven’t watched him that closely.

Rohan averages 8 touches a game and doesn’t kick many goals, the only thing he’s good at is running fast and being a ranga

He has been around a long time and always seems injured. My dogs mates rated him and he was always going to be good. I remember Champion data saying in the draft he had stats that were close to elite on some formula they had. I think he actually played a bit this year so should have some form to look at.

Yeah, no idea, can't remember ever seeing him play. I think it's worth taking a risk on one of those guys each year, though. Honeychurch or Partington or Brady Grey. Usually won't amount to anything but occasionally the delisting is the kick up the bum they need.

Based off my little knowledge the only half attractive DFA is Sheridan.. has had some seriously good AFL games (30 posessions a couple of times) and would add some run/foot skills.
