Ask Skaife , he has firsthand knowledge how bad a spot it was/is.

Lost the rear end turning in on a wet day , lost traction due to the rubber/debris left behind by the top fuellers ( that ran up the front straight in the opposite direction ) , ended up hitting some concrete bollards.
Knocked out , fuel leaking too.
****ed his back too which cut his career short.
