Where does everyone think Ellis’ best position for us is? Where has he played his best footy? I was thinking HB. Gives us some run and improved disposal efficiency, and might allow us to move a Luko / Weller further up the ground.

I think the wing, he can get a fumbly under pressure in d50, also the club see's luko as a tall rebounding defender until his body fills out

The Club has told the younger groups they did not have enough strong bodies /experience to maximise their development etc. They will not make the same mistakes there is more experience best 22 planned to come in.
SO I'M TOLD.

That’s what they say every year

That's what Iva Bigun and I said in 2011 and every year since
We were told playing skinny no talent 18yo's in front of guys like Iles Warnock and Stanley would pay off in multiple premierships

while Connor Budarick was another who pushed his credentials by being among the top-10 for the agility and Yo-Yo tests. Budarick is headed to the Suns as an Academy pick.

Another player who could be on the way to Gold Coast is Northern Territory talent Malcolm Rosas. The small forward put forward a good week of testing to give himself a chance (2.95 seconds in the sprint and 8.5 seconds in the agility test).

Fair enough. Liked what I’ve seen of his defensive tackling though. Where has he played his best footy for Richmond?
He always been mainly a wing except the 2nd of 17 and 18 when he played half back, he was very good in 17 but 18 was arguably one of his worst seasons

I hope you guys treat Ellis well. He should provide a good amount to your club. Sad to see him go but happy to see him go to the suns and try and reverse some of this fortune you have all had. Hopefully suns bounce back next year.

And this is why Adelaide would be stupid not to take a deal from us this year for Brad Crouch.

Crows fans think they know what they will get for Crouch if he leaves next year under free agency but I wouldn’t put it passed the afl to screw the crows over if they don’t work with us this year

I am still surprised that people don't read compo rules - in the end the committee decides as they like. Basically do whatever they want. Obviously Tigers don't need pick 20. Maybe someone should educate idiot Ralph.

Could be paying Ellis as low as 450k. Hence the lower pick for Tiges maybe.

Can’t confirm that. We’ll know for sure early next week. But the $3 million across five years wasn’t necessarily right. I’ve heard as low as $450-$500K per year but wages are one area where reporting is often wrong - and it’ll remain that way unless we ever go public, like the US
