Balta has to play. He's too good to rott away in the VFL.
Plus I want him in and around my team.
I've only seen him play 3 times, but that second quarter alone sold me, should get a gig round 1 based on that monster effort.

Possibly he could play a Westhoff type role where he just fills in forward or back and is the second ruck but we'll have to wait and see

I think this is how he will be used. Is very mobile so can play just about any position and gives us a much better 2nd ruck than Grigg/Rioli(LOL).

Any who you live in hope for week 1 despite not scoring or playing?

I was surprised how low duursma scored so haven’t given up on him, but otherwise I’m expecting my rookies to come from the list above.

Seems to be some talk about Setterfield being rested regularly. Wouldn't be great for the cash gen but Carlton rookies with DPP useful as floating donuts in the silver linings scenario some of those weeks if there is anything to it.

Can see them being cautious with him given his history. However he looked good to me on Thursday night and will play Round 1 IMO and should play as often as possible.

Here's a good analysis. Brice Mitchell does good work in general, well worth following.
In terms of genuine C choices if VC doesn't fire, Fyfe (two Sat day games, rest Sat Night / Sunday thru to his bye) and Cripps (no good first three rds, but then very C-able thru his bye) two that spring to mind. Macrae for WB also quite OK.
Hawks good draw, but without Mitchell not sure they have a consistent C option.
Gawn and Grundy much more VC-able if you're running them.
In terms of rookies, have to have a look, but a Freo / Carlton / Haw DPP floater might go OK thru bye season. Dogs have Sweet, but you might want a playing rookie on the line.
That what you were after?

Here2tellyouwhy here you go, this one and this one:
Here you go, guess some of these blokes could be options for DPP loopers early on:

Ye i like the look just unsure he can break in to the team? Is he best 22? hard to break into a premiership side.

Isn't it very, very rare for for a premiership side to have their 22 premiership players all play in the same team again?

Probably unlikely he'll play, but people said the same about Higgins and he played plenty.

Watson is ready. Oscar Allen will win the rising star. Petroljelly and Waterman will play a bit too, especially yearly.
