Cerra looks solid.
Can confirm b hill is out there.
Logue can kick.

Logue has such a beautiful kicking style, it could really be a weapon, he just needs to realise that and back himself in. Too often in 2017 his first instinct was to look sideways for a chip option. Hopefully we can really utilise his run and skills this season.

Logue, Wilson and Ryan all kicking out from the backline to Hogan, Lobb and Tabs up forward. All of a sudden the prospect of fast, direct ball movement becomes a bit more of a reality.
Agree. you have to be able to kick up the line to a contest sometimes. We were always looking for a loose man and if we couldn't find one we either stagnate or weren't set up down the line properly to just compete.

I think you might find that we had extra $ in salary cap, and less $ available in soft cap ( coaching staff etc) so players like Sandi and Ballas are mainly about to mentor and set standards and coach IMO
Spot on, and a really good move with so many young players. You end up with the best of both worlds with some on-field leadership. The trap of course is playing the older players too much and the younger ones too little. Not worried about that as the club seems to have the balance right.

My expectation is that our round 1 team will be the oldest side that we put out next season. There seems to be a mindset that the club/coach want experience at the start to allow the next group to build some form, fitness, confidence and hunger. Can't say that it has worked the past two seasons, but with Hogan, Lobb, Conca and Colyer all likely "ins", we will see it.

It's almost like someone is planning this stuff.....

I also think we play best available early to see if we are trying to contend or more re-building for the season.

Wins early will definitely be achievable. It will be better for everyone, and our start can provide that if they have a really good pre-season. But we have a few unknowns, so will be interesting to see if we can get that.

Ok, fair enough. But what on earth a Croat was doing in Scotland in the 1850s is beyond me...
After watching a doco series about castles on Netflix I learnt that it was common for folk of that ilk to cross over to the UK as mercenaries to fight for the feudal lords of the time....i KNEW that info was going to come in handy at some point [emoji16]

On the club Instagram there is good footage of Michael Apeness destroying a tackle bag
Holy sheeet!

Just checked out the feed on Instagram. That looked like the best I've ever seen Apeness move. He could put some pressure on Tabs for that FF spot if he gets a good run through preseason.

Walters - Hogan - Coyler
Switta - Ape/Tabs - Lobb
