I wonder what will happen if Dixon starts smashing it for Peel (which is a genuine possibility), and we don't have any injuries to our tall forwards?

Forget that...no injuries..., like that will happen :rolleyes:
Genuine pressure for spots is invaluable

If he is smashing it and can't break into the side, then there will be dancing in the streets of Fremantle.

Was thinking the same thing. Maybe it squeezes Cox down back;

HF: McCarthy Hogan Walters
FF: Swita/Hill Lobb Dixon/Cox

Would be similar to crows setup when they were good;

HF: Lynch Tex Cameron
FF: Betts Jenkins McGovern

Cue Benny Hill theme music.

I wonder how Hugh Dixon will go this year, showed some great signs last year.

When you think about how raw he was in his 18s year, hard to project where he might end up.

For a tall, he is still effectively in nappies. The effectiveness of Hogan/Lobb/Tabs/Cox/McCarthy as a team is yet to be seen so irrespective of names on a whiteboard he can bust into the team if he proves the better player.

Then there's other stuff such as, Hogan has to make it onto the park wearing purple - before we start erecting monuments in his honour in Fremantle etc. Give it 4 years and he's over a typical apprenticeship for a tall at which time Lobb and Tabs are 29 at the tail end of their careers, which is good for future planning - or some may be tradeable (Tabs/Dixon/Cox - given that McCarthy/Hogan/Lobb traded to be home I can't see them trading out). Also, Cox could play in defence.

Lot's of players, a few possibilities ;)

Someone who is having a blinder of a pre-season already is our media person.
It's seems as if lately every fourth article on the AFL website is about us.
Great work Freo publicity team :thumbsu:

I think we may think the stars have aligned for us, Hogan by reports is only walking laps. Bit of a concern how many of
our forwards also like the darts.
