I reckon we have more top end talent then them with younger players.
Rankine, King, Luko, Rowell,Anderson,Flanders, Powell, Ballard is better then Bailey, Berry, McCluggage, Starc etc. They have a better balanced list and a great spread of players, we need an A or even soild B+ midfielder to take some pressure of Greenwood, Rowell etc. It's our biggest miss, we get hammered at clearances when Greenwood is getting first position
I'm starting to warm to Brad Crouch after the past 8 weeks tbh

I think they need another mature experience mid. Can't just rely on Rowell next year. Some may say they don't need crouch.. But I'm unsure now. Need that extra big body inside there.
*snap* lol
I think if he wants to come and we can shed some salary cap with the guys we know are likely to be traded we should probably do the deal

Someone to win first position and give hands off to a running Weller or Anderson. We are dying for that, greenwood is doing all the heavy lifting. Touk has been good but isn't a big enough body to burst through packs

yeah, just seems evident now. Greenwood is great, and Weller and Swallow battle, but just seems there is something missing, and can't be relying on 2nd year Rowell. His body would get banged up too quick.

People talk about us tracking like Brisbane but unless we pick up a Lachie Neale and a Charlie Cameron "equivalent"(ie ready made star at either end of the ground) it will be hard to progress like they have IMO
That’s the difference. They’ve been very fortunate to have 2 genuine A Graders fall into their lap.

Brad Crouch would be of very high interest I reckon. He will be cheaper than last year and see that there is something good bubbling at the Suns. He isn't on the level of Lauchie Neale but is a big experienced body that has won the BnF at the Crows.

We need someone else to win first possession, Hugh is doing it pretty much by himself at the moment. Needs some help in there and some more protection for Rowell

Ideally Bowes goes into the middle next year and we have a rotation of Rowell, Greenwood, Bowes, Miller, Anderson, Weller, Swallow.

Still lack that powerful break away mid (outside of Rowell who can do everything) but would back Witts/Rowell/Greenwood/Bowes to more than break even in the clearances.

But if Crouch is still a target and realises he’s not worth nearly $1mill than you wouldn’t say no.

Nah Brad is a big mistake , another player that passing the ball to inside 50 is no better than swallow , Florini or Brodie . Rowell kicking is not elite but not too much rush and hack kick or cheap position short kick that eventually like Sam day kick to opposition .

Brisbane structure yesterday is solid , Ballard, buddarick and Graham all get hammer . Ballard can't intercept, if Brisbane can limit eagles intercept players , Ballard is nothing .

*Big bodies is one thing , elite kicking is another thing . Lyons is another example look ordinary with GC because teammate cannot kick .

You need to watch Lyons more. All his kicks from inside the contest are just clearing kicks to gain meterage, there’s no elite kick there.

Geelong desperately want him and they don't chase junk. Essendon inquiring as well.
We can beat both with longer or heavier front ended contract - IF he wants to come here.
He and Sloane have turned around their fortunes in the last fortnight.
He doesn't have the highest DE but 18 of his 30 were contested.

Lachie Hunter is a gun and there are rumours that he's not happy at the Bulldogs.
He's 25 and taken his game to a new level despite a tough year off the field.
More outside than in but 105 inside 50s last year and 6.6 score involvements a game is elite and 74% DE.
We could do a lot worse if he wants out of Victoria.

Meanwhile, unrestricted free agent Rory Atkins appears destined for Gold Coast on a five-year deal, as first reported by foxfooty.com.au on August 30.

Sources say the deal will be worth as much as $500,000 per year, which will likely deliver Adelaide compensation in the second round of the draft.

Victorian clubs believe Atkins to the Suns is as good as done, but it won’t be confirmed until October 30 at the earliest.

What an absolute joke. Thats the worst deal we have ever done if thats true. **** me when will this club learn

Yeah if that wage is true, the list managers have completely lost their head.

In no way is Atkins worth that much now after an absolute poor year.

I was fine with 5 years at 300 k because while it is a lot of years, the actual cost to salary cap was negligible, this is just paying spuds too much coin.

Sick of overpaying players to come here.

Very happy with that. You only need to watch last night to see the kids need help.
