Not about what he was ‘picked up for’. how many things was Karmichael Hunt picked up for while he was at the club? He’s just well known to be a part of the party clique.

And Will has been pushed to the back pocket to keep his place in the team.

If we bring in Markov and/or Broad, does Powell become fringe best 22?

And if North offer him well overs in $$$ with a best 22 spot...

He can play anywhere, we don't have the luxury of many players that can do that, he is highly rated by the coaching staff, he loves it on the GC, seems to be a popular figure around the club.
I see no reason why he would go. He is best 22 for us now for sure

They are keen on Wright as well. Pick 2 would definitely come into the equation with other exchanges.

No he looked really good back there and I would argue that he will be more effective there for us with some more games under his belt than he would on the wing, high footy IQ.
If one of the richmond boys comes I would assume it pushes bowes back into midfield rotation and pushes out a Flanders/Holman/Lemmens

edit: also looked to be really enjoying himself playing in the back half

Theres no way we are trading Will.
Miles more potential than Atkins and Markov.
Yu don't trade quality footballers and people like Will Powell.
If we do then we have lost the plot AGAIN.

Trading away Wil would single handedly destroy what little culture we built this season. I cannot even fathom it. He'd be one of the first picked in the team. Undoubtedly has a spot down back but has scope to play in the mids like Lachie Weller did this year in future seasons. One game he moved back up onto the wing and kicked some good goals and drove the ball inside 50.

Not surprised clubs have come calling now that they've cracked on to how much of a gun he's going to become. But I'm sure he has politely told them no.

I’ll put my hand up, early in the season he just didn’t look like he belonged. But then he was moved around week to week. From about mid season things just seemed to click. I’ll admit I WAS WRONG. He brings so much to the team and can play almost anywhere on the ground.

I'll also put my hand up re: powell, early on yeah I didn't think he was good enough, but his change to the backline has done wonders for him. I don't think he is a winger, but as a HB/BP I think he is easily in our best 22.
