I think a completely torn tendon/ligament is a lot worse than a bone fracture for fingers.

We have a few waiting in the wings to come in, like Coxy, Cameron and Thomas. Either one of them can come in and play a role up forward. We have Sier, who could come in, placing Elliott back in F50.
We do get Sidey back after next week, and he may well play a F50 role for us, across HF.
DeGoey is a loss, but our side doesn't depend on one individual, we have guys that can come in and play roles, so l think we will be ok.

Seems that main thing missing this year has been one good KPF. Miho is good but needs support. I think maybe the main reason our scoring tends to dry up.
Cox still a poor mark most weeks, still usually goes up one handed??, maybe he'll improve by next year but mostly just creates 50/50 ground balls at this stage (which is useful in a lukewarm sort of way), but prob that will have to be the structure now that DeG also is gone for a few weeks.
Also ghost player Reid clearly can't be relied on to get on the park and the new guy kelly showed a bit of potential but immediatley season ended.
Not sure what other prospects we have on the list but if can field another KPD could try Moore forward again.
Just looked at injury report, Reid listed as "active"?? theyre not even giving any weeks out estimates anymore it seems. Jsut active/inactive/post-surgery.

It is hard, but i sort of feel we may need to move our AA CHB to FF at some point. Probably not now that we don't have Howe, but if we did I'd be saying that this is something we do need to do. We have coverage at KPD (although not as attacking) in Dunn and Keane, but not forward.

True not familiar with Keane but Dunn is a v solid defender if in form.

Heard enough of this defeatist attitude. One man goes down, the next one comes up.

We are being tested this year injury wise like we have been for years now, so that should mean we have experience dealing with this.

As far depth goes we have more depth than just about everyone. Most, if not all teams will be tested this year, I'm waiting for Brisbane to cop as much bad luck as teams such as us and the Giants have.

The silver lining in guys like Howe and DeGoey going down are that others that have been pushing for selection and have been kept out can get their chance and can be the making of them as players. Maybe whilst DeGoey is out Elliott goes back forward and Sier gets his chance to finally step up.

We still have guys like Sidebottom and Greenwood to come back in, hopefully Reid and Langdon can finally get and stay fit for long enough to make an impact this season, we don't know.

Hopefully we get Howe and DeGoey going for finals but I know we just have to give our all with the 22 we have one week at a time. Strap yourselves in, this is going to be a crazy season.
