We’ll get Richmond, Brisbane, West Coast, Essendon and Carlton twice if the ladder is any guide.

With so many interstate sides making up the top six you can lock in us and Richmond meeting one another twice. I also expect both of the previous two Grand Finals will be played twice. We get Brisbane early in the season so the timing is probably right for a repeat crack there.

In short I think the repeat match ups from that top six will be:

Rich v GWS
Rich v Coll
Rich v Geel
GWS v Bris
GWS v WCE
Geel v WCE
Coll v WCE
Coll v Bris

Each side gets the three repeat matches against top six sides except Geelong and Brisbane
Nailed our three double ups. Only wrong one was Melbourne rather than Carlton

SO Richmond, Brisbane, WC, Essendon and Melbourne twice. Boo to no Carlton twice 2 years in a row.

Got 3 out of 4 right in the prediction. Not that it took much skill to predict Richmond and Essendon.

Just did my own quick analysis:

We play at the MCG 14 times in our 22 game fixture. We play at Marvel 3 times, one of which is a home game against North.

We travel 5 times; Brisbane at the Gabba, GWS at Giants Stadium, Sydney at the SCG and both Fremantle and WCE at Optus (Rounds 19 and 22).

We don't play the Gold Coast Suns until the final game in Round 23. This is at the MCG. Talk about a soft finish!

Our 5 double-up games are Brisbane (5th 2019), Richmond (1st 2019), Essendon (8th 2019), Melbourne (17th 2019), WCE (6th 2019).

We have 3 Thursday night games and 5 Friday night games.

Good work, off the top of my head I'd add that we also play St Kilda as a home game at Docklands.

I think 2 (and only 2) clubs need to play 4 finalists twice.

Trying to crunch the numbers on this but including the fixturing guidelines it's doing my head in. I'll take your word for it (if another club cops 4 as well). :D

You don't really get the Fixture, do you?

Excuse me? The fixture guidelines only specify we have to play 2 finalists twice.

As it happens, only GWS has 4 other finalists, so that backs Baird up.

Looking at H & A wins for each team's double ups shows it pretty closely follows the ladder positions from last year. Swap the Bulldogs and North and it would be a pretty decent outcome.
