I take it all back.
Still not happy with the demulleting, but they're selling it off for charity and the bloke who did the deed felt like he was defacing a public monument šŸ˜
Hard to go crook at that tbh, Bunga's raised that young bloke well šŸ‘

I’m giving Docherty some serious thought. Also thinking a bit about Saad ...

Similar price, similar 2020 average if remove Doc’s injury match.

New rules will probably favour Saad. Maybe Docherty too?

I presume Docherty will be preferred to take kick ins for the Blues. Does anyone know whether he took most of the kick ins in the preseason game? Or are others getting kick ins as well?

Docherty in 8% of teams, Saad in only 5%.
Both took 3 kick ins each

Doch took a few of the kick ins that I saw in the praccy game. I posted this a while ago regarding Saad not having the same ceiling as Doch.

120+ scores
Docherty: 21 from 108
Saad: 1 from 109

I think im locked into starting doch too but even if you take out the 13 from his average the 185 must increase it a decent amount and that score would be very uncommon for him

185 is a monster score, but I would disagree that huge scores are uncommon to him. In 2017 he went 142+ 5 times.

120+ 21/108 (138+ 11/108)

Fair enough at his best it isn't uncommon. But it's probably the reason he averages in the 90s instead of the 80s last season (excluding injury game)

I am warming to Hunter Clark after I saw CBA stats from the praccy. Has improved his score every year. 54 -> 74 -> 81.

Natural progression says he goes from 81 to 85-90 in his 4th year but with that role change he should be at 90-95+.

Any Saints fans know if this role is locked in? Not sure if he can be a keeper or not.
He’ll play inside mid, and rotate through half back. The role he played in preseason will be the role he plays to start the season. Gives us a point of difference on ball, and can win a clearance.

lol I wouldve scored 200+ in that gamne

what a fu**en non event

GFs suck unless West Coast are playing. Disagree and Ill fight you
You are right. 2014 was very nice cos of Buddy/Swans but 2015 was good. Underdogs in the media, hot day, the Weagles Web. I presume you were talking about 2014? That was the one you have to lose before you win one.

2018 should have an * IMO. We paid Mitchell 300k to go and acquaint himself to your midfield then next year he reset your midfield 3 times in wins against Collingwood. And the free kick that wasn't paid! Still you've got to be in it to win it.

I must've done it wrong because I got 91.3. Fair enough though I expected it to be high 80s

It was off the top of my head 91.3 sounds right. For a player who goes big (140+ 10% of the time) a 185 score isn't totally out of the box. I don't recall him having many early game injury scores though, outside the 13 last year. Had a few sub affected scores early on at Brissy iirc. I suppose if you're looking for reasons not to pick him you'd cherry pick the stats to remove the high score and vis versa for the less likely early game injury score if you're looking to start him.

Wonder if Mr Hurn is one of the Eagles who visits Main St Barbers to style those 13 feathers every now and then.

Joining the Docherty debate, last year was about finding his feet after missing 2 years of footy. When recalculating his average, injury affected games are outliers I would remove, especially a 13. A huge game is not an outlier I would remove, because the guns have those sort of games. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t push his average to at least 100 in 2021. Will he be top 6? Unlikely, top 10, probably.

I'm sure Bunga has lots of Hairdresser friends.

2017 is a long time ago. He's not the player he was back then. Don't think he's going improve a lot on his price.

I disagree. 185 is 100% an outlier when his next highest score was 126.

He wasn't last year, but that was to be expected after such a long layoff. Yet somehow he still managed to score 117, 93, 122, 185 in his first 4 games after missing 2 whole seasons which proved that he still has it. Players nearly always have a down year after missing 1 season, he averaged close to 97.6 (minus 13 inj) after missing 2 whole years. I don't subscribe to the theory that he won't ever hit those lofty heights again. One, because he's still in his prime at 27yrs and two because it's now been over 2 years since his last knee injury. One year of rehab, 2 pre-seasons and the equivalent of half a season last year.

agree anything above 150 is an outlier unless they are a 700k type player like a gawn, grundy, macrae peak titch and danger

Docherty's highest scores. 185, 153, 149, 147, 147, 144, 144, 142, 141, 138, 138

If you're of the opinion that only 2020 scores are relevant, then there's no point in continuing this discussion.

For starters I have him in my side but his most recent scores are the most relevant. So settle down bud

Doc 20k cheaper than Short and owned by 20% less amount of teams? Yes please

But, but, but he had a sub100 ave season after missing 2 years of footy and put up a poor score in his praccy game, he's finished now. Besides only scores from a compromised season count. :$
