Saad is a “poor man’s” Bachar Houli...
FTFY
Now? No. We are finally actually trying to do something and have some semblance of a plan.
Back then? We sat on our hands when we had every opportunity to make moves.

Was thinking about that (plus Milera back too) and wondering if our thinking is that dynamic, skilful mids are like hen's teeth and super expensive.
Are we trying to put together a workmanlike midfield who wins their share but is tasked with distributing it to the wingmen, half backs and outside players?
Peoples views on '18 could change quite a bit in the next few years. Hopefully they do.
Sholl, McHenry, Hamill all look like long term players. Jones is getting back on track. If we end up with 4/4, that's a good draft.
Well in each of your examples I'd much rather the pick one.its not at all...
its Sam Walsh or Max King plus whatever you’ve given up to move up
its Rowell or Ash plus whatever you give up to move up
its raynor vs LDU plus whatever you give up to move up
the three players you meantioned weren't even taken at 1 or 4..
That gap is narrowing quickly though. It's like Rozee vs Jones and McHenry.
I'm going Rozee.
He's right for wanting Charlie though![]()
Trade period countdown: All the deals and the talk around town
We take a look at the ll the deals done so far, and all the trades that are in the mix.www.theage.com.au
Bryce Gibbs
Intriguing. Blues want him to stay, but a deal with Adelaide would help them get Caleb Marchbank and a few other Giants. Crows have offered pick 13 and Rory Atkins or Jarryd Lyons, which Stephen Silvagni has rejected. "SOS" wants Charlie Cameron instead.
SOS and Carlton really were dcikheads for rejecting that deal - pick 13 AND Lyons. Lyons would be one of their best players now and for the last couple of years and probably helped add a few extra years to Cripps by chopping out with the contested ball
That gap is narrowing quickly though.
Even 3/5 looks ok, if Sholl and Butts (who we took in the rookie draft), end up living up to their potential, and McHenry wedges himself as a long term player (which he seems to be doing at the moment).
Backwards, but ok.
Mini me of his brother, very similar play style . Not as dangerous up forward yet but a very smooth and smart midfielder.Hollands' brother made his u18's debut on the weekend, eligible to be drafted next year. Wonder if he's also a Crows man.
Not really. That gap is narrowing quickly though.
Not really.
Jones still high chance of flopping.
McHery building but nowhere near Rozee.
Don't forget Hately as well. He'll improve too.
I kind of struggle with the step to include him as a part of our 2018 haul, seeing he was initially with GWS.
I hope he does, and if he does, he also doesn't leave it too late.
Too talented to fail. How is Rozee going this year?
Too talented to fail.
West AdelaideReally poorly TBH .....obviously talented, but he appears to have a body that's not putting on any size .....and that will restrict his ability to play a lot of midfield ....and probably restrict him to playing wingHow is Rozee going this year?
I wouldnt.Well in each of your examples I'd much rather the pick one.
Mitch Mcgovern says hi..Too talented to fail.
TIA - talent, injury, attitude - not necessarily in that orderMmmm ... No such thing as too talented to fail.
Talent is not even half of it.
In Rozee's case it looks like injury management will play a big part.
Not sure this statement holds up under the spotlight. Talent isn't a direct precursor for success! Its an extremely important ingredient, but plenty of very talented players don't have success at the AFL level.Too talented to fail.
