Could also move sloane to HBF like Heppell did.
We have a plethora of half back types though and Sloane is also one of our few mids who can do well up forward. He's a good mark for his size, has a bit of craft and can slot a goal.Could also move sloane to HBF like Heppell did.
Agree very reliable shot for goalWe have a plethora of half back types though and Sloane is also one of our few mids who can do well up forward. He's a good mark for his size, has a bit of craft and can slot a goal.
Yeah, very surprised that Hugh Jackson isn't getting more love around here to. Very intriguing highlights video's, and statistically there's really not much more he can do to get peoples attention.

I mean those averages and game logs are as good as it gets at U18 level (I'd love to see a side by side with Nick Daicos if anyone has those numbers). His last game he got 34 touches and 3 goals, the kids gonna get leather poisoning before the draft even comes at this rate

I can't watch when Keays kicks at goal.Agreed - but it's also a spot where we could probably do with his experience and leadership. He can organise the backline (though maybe Doedee does that?). Keays can move into the forward line perhaps - he offers a lot of pressure, some marking ability, did well in the role at Brisbane and doesn't mind a kick at goal.
Yes yes yes BicksLuke Dunstan might be the type Nicks likes too but this bring middling SA mids back home is not looking to the future.
If we're bringing home SA lads at least bring in some class in the right age bracket.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't both Luke Dunstan and Trent Dumont RFA's at the end of the season the same as Matt Crouch so there goes the free agency compo unless a trade can be manufactured.
Both inferior players to Matt Crouch across their AFL careers
U18s SA form often gets overlooked , Will Hayward as an example should have gone higher but wasn’t playing league or reservesYeah, very surprised that Hugh Jackson isn't getting more love around here to. Will also didn't play a lot of U18's as he played mostly school football.U18s SA form often gets overlooked , Will Hayward as an example should have gone higher but wasn’t playing league or reserves
Mitch Wallis type role for Sloanes final yearsI can't watch when Keays kicks at goal.
I think forward is an obvious place for Sloane to play out his career given our back heavy list. The odd cameo in the mids to shake things up.
As I’ve said before. Sloane and Berry should basically transition between each others spots over the next 12 months.I have no problem whatsoever in allowing Sloane to finish out his career is a forward pocket for us. He can mark well, has a generally good kick, is tough and around the forward line will have enough speed to be a dangerous player. He could become a good foil for the bigger forwards we have
What playing in the SANFL?Mitch Wallis type role for Sloanes final years
Not impossible by the end of his contract in 2023.What playing in the SANFL?
Keen to see how he performs in the Champs. With Roberts and Draper out, he should get a good chance to shine next to HorneHugh Jackson could be this drafts Schoenberg. Goes in the 20s in the draft but could be way better.
I cant see North going 2-6I looked at the run home for the bottom 3 sides and the way the Suns are playing vs the way the Roos and Hawks are playing, I wouldn't rule out the Suns having pick 1.
SUNS: RICH, GWS, WB, MELB, BRIS, CARL, ESS, SYD
HAW: PORT, FREO, MELB, BRIS, ADEL, COLL, WB, RICH
NORTH: WB, WC, ESS, CARL, GEEL, RICH, SYD, ADEL
Sun's lose out, Hawthorn win 1 more and North go 2-6 and GC are at pick 1.
And I really don't think any of those 3 things are out of the question.

Did you get a touch of a Lachie Whitfield vibe about him? Particularly the way he moves and disposes when at pace? In the small amount of clips that i've seen I saw really impressive burst plays from stoppage and then a super slick disposal at pace.I've been all about Hugh Jackson - I love the idea of a kid who was outside in his underage year moving into more of a ball-winning role, and keeping his class.
Imagine if we can get another late first or early second and walk away from the draft with:Hugh Jackson could be this drafts Schoenberg. Goes in the 20s in the draft but could be way better.
I have never seen Hugh play live so I’m sure there’s much about his game that is very good and I’ve no doubt he’ll get picked up. From what I have seen though my only concern is his decision making. As I said though that’s just from clips I’ve seen.Did you get a touch of a Lachie Whitfield vibe about him? Particularly the way he moves and disposes when at pace? Really looking forward to seeing more footage to see if that was a flash in the pan, or something that he replicate's. Cause that's something we are screaming for in our best 22
Which is crazy considering all the Vic kids literally play nothing but underage footy.U18s SA form often gets overlooked , Will Hayward as an example should have gone higher but wasn’t playing league or reserves
I have only seen limited footage too, so I'm trying my best not to fanboi too hard on him without a bigger sample size. But I've just seen a really good blend of traits that I think will transition well to the AFL level.I have never seen Hugh play live so I’m sure there’s much about his game that is very good and I’ve no doubt he’ll get picked up. I reckon it will look very differentLets see how close this is come November .....a lot of water to go under the bridge, and opinions can change very quickly
