If we are going to dream, I'd rather:Imagine if we can get another late first or early second and walk away from the draft with:
Matt Roberts
Arlo Draper
Hugh jackson

The only clips I’ve seen was a game against Sturt. Couple of hand passes good. One short pass made to look good with an excellent mark by team mate off his boot laces. One kick that gets to Keeler who takes good 1/1 contested mark.I have only seen limited footage too, so I'm trying my best not to fanboi too hard on him without a bigger sample size. But I've just seen a really good blend of traits that I think will transition well to the AFL level.
I'll keep an eye out for the decision making side, I can't say I noticed that when I watched him.
Plays more like Tom Powell and could go just as high, might even turn out to be a more complete player than Powell the more exposure he's getting.Hugh Jackson could be this drafts Schoenberg. Goes in the 20s in the draft but could be way better.
Yeah but Mitch Wallis is already there at 28 years old?Not impossible by the end of his contract in 2023.
Wallis was the Dog's leading goal kicker prior to their forward line restructure.

Can't see the Lachie Whitfield comparison, much more inside the contest than Whitfield and doesn't have the precision kicking of Lachie Whitfield either.Did you get a touch of a Lachie Whitfield vibe about him? Particularly the way he moves and disposes when at pace? In the small amount of clips that i've seen I saw really impressive burst plays from stoppage and then a super slick disposal at pace.
Really looking forward to seeing more footage to see if that was a flash in the pan, or something that he replicate's. Cause that's something we are screaming for in our best 22
Fair enough, I think it was probably the running/movement style that tweaked it for me rather then the playing style. Again I’m really keen to see more from him to get a clearer indication. Can't see the Lachie Whitfield comparison, much more inside the contest than Whitfield and doesn't have the precision kicking of Lachie Whitfield either.
Mitch Wallis type role for Sloanes final years
Sorry thought I’d just add some footage as comparison. This is Matt Roberts playing league football for South. What you notice with Matt is that almost every possession goes to advantage - even if under pressure quick kicks are well placed in front of team mate to give him best chance. The last possession really highlights how good he is - running 40m dart inside 50 hitting up team mate. I’ve seen Matt live a few times and this is a fair reflection of his footyI have only seen limited footage too, so I'm trying my best not to fanboi too hard on him without a bigger sample size. Yeh liked that a lot. Reads the ball really well. Gets in great position. Clean hands, good decisions.Definitely the leading candidate for my 2021 draft crush. Solid body work, clean ball take, penetrating disposal and a smart decision maker.
We'd be crazy to give away our first rounder this year in any trades. Roberts looks like a future jet

West AdelaideThe same Matt Rendell that said Sam Darcy is 197cm in the Dwayno interview that article was taken from....Rendell is that far out of the loop now or he'd know Darcy is now 204cm.Why some AFL recruiters believe the upcoming draft could be a "bit disappointing"
Matt Rendell has revealed that some recruiters believe this year’s draft crop is a “bit disappointing” at this stage.
Collingwood father-son prospect Nick Daicos is widely considered to be this year’s top draft pick, while Sam Darcy – son of Bulldogs great Luke – has shown strong recent form and could be taken in the top three of the draft.
Rendell, who used to be a recruiter, said the depth in this year’s National Draft had suffered as a result of several promising targets being taken during the mid-season draft.
He said the lack of continuity so far this season has seen some players struggle to put a consistent run of strong games together at NAB League level.
“The other thing that has happened in the mid-season draft, all the tall (players) have been taken out,” he said on SEN’s Dwayne’s World.
“They’ve been hurt on the four weeks off for the players to go back to school and local clubs and then they played one game, then ran into three weeks of lockdown.
“It’s been very different for the under 18s, so hopefully they can get some continuity later in the year.”

“A bit has changed for the draft."www.sen.com.au
Good to have you back Mick.Surely if we got pick 2 then we'd have to do a trade with north. I don't expect reid to be productive though, he's useless. He even let port leapfrog us in the superdraft a few years ago. They got rozee and we got jones. Completely outplayed by port.
What is he going to promise this off season and not deliver.Good to have you back Mick.
And let's be honest, Reid has never had an offseason as bad as yours was.

he'll cry regardless when horne asks for a trade.Who would want to be remembered as the list manager that traded away Jason Horne?
Ha ha - not happening
sa lad and the chance of homesickness. unless they arent taking horne. Why would North, or Gold Coast trade it?

if he did ask to be traded home it would be to port. he's a fremantle supporter but also said he wouldnt mind playing for the power. never even mentioned the crows. only way he gets to the crows if if we draft him.If Horne is even remotely close to the talent you're talking him up as, North will back themselves in to keep him and just work through that. If it that bad however, he'll fall to us without us needing to do anything.
