Jeff Farmer's nephew kicked the first goal, might be an omen!

Carlton traded pick 3, 20 and JJK for Chris Judd.
Carlton could have drafted Dangerfield, Jack Steven and kept JJK and had some change left.

I'd prefer to keep TT, draft best mid available at 4 and use pick 23 on Dawson.

After that trade 1 club has won a couple of flags and the other is still a basket case.

Next years draft is looking a cracker
Dangerfield wasn't a top 3 rated draft pick in his year. Realistically would've ended up with a Cale Morten or Chris Masten and a pick in the 20s is also hit and miss, so Carlton made the right call as Judd was in his prime and still plenty of years left in him.

Is Godden coaching? Our forward entries are ordinary at best.

No standouts at this stage.

Jk 700 goals would have been handy for Carlton

If Horne-Francis isn't draft by the Crows he'll never play for us, if he's coming home it's to Port and only Port
Why?

Didn't Fabian Francis play for a bunch of teams?

Sorry for the intrusion but thought I’d mention something re the Phillips decision.

The club was very open after taking Phillips that given we are in a rebuild they are prioritising not only talent but leadership and competitiveness. Our recruiters and coach have said that they want the most competitive talented kid. They interviewed all the 2020 draft candidates and asked who was the most competitive player they’ve played with or against, and it was a landslide in favour of Phillips. Similar questions were asked about leadership, with similar results.

Not only is JHF elite in these two areas (competitiveness & leadership), he is clearly the best player.

Draper and Wanganeen-Milera have done some nice things, both look balanced, composed with above average foot skills.
