I don't think Cilic is going to get far but I would agree that against an out of form Federer following double knee surgery and limited court time, over $3 probably has some value in it to explore.

There are quite a few underdogs I like today.

Nishioka ($3.10) vs Musetti

Nishioka won against this guy in Parma a week ago. Why is he the underdog?

You need to assess tennis much like horse racing IMO.

Musetti went deep in Lyon and had a gutbuster v Tsitsipas in the semi.

I personally like to avoid anyone that makes the semi or further in a tournament if they are backing up again the next week.

They've made the semi so they are in good form so you don't want to bet against them.

On the flip side they have played 3,4,5 matches one week, then have to travel to the next tournament (an even more onerous task crossing borders during COVID), then they are playing again within 2 days. You don't want to bet on them as every chance they are tired and they have made enough money / won enough ranking points the week before they don't really care if they cop the L and can then take the rest of the week to freshen up.

Given Parma is also the week before a slam the market would just ignore that head to head result with Nishioka completely on that basis.

Worth taking a look at the quarter winner women's odds on SportsBet - I think they have stuffed something up because some of them are very close to or equal to the outright odds. E.g. I got on Muchova quarter winner @41, which is the same as her outright odds. It will probably get voided but you never know.
