Why would anyone in their right mind want to coach carlton with that poisonous board ?

Teague certainly is an interesting case study.

He was really well liked by the players he coached here, but seemingly clashed with what we were doing as a club. Given how disastrous that was, it looks from the outside like he was in the right.

Carlton continue to be in the same spiralling mindset they have been for a long time now - when it goes wrong, blame the coach or players, but change nothing else. It seems to be run as an old boys network where the board and hangers on look after each other, so consistently look for a scape goat. Disturbingly, we seem to be following a similar pathway.

So can Teague coach or not? It's almost impossible to tell at this point. I do think he will find another assistant role. Hopefully he finds success there.

I really think he will end up somewhere, he’s shown ability as an assistant. Already there are stories of Richmond showing interest

Im just trying to decide what is a more painful fate for them? Straight Sets or another Prelim Disaster?

If I could honestly chose I would take Prelim Disaster because Ken can remain and continue to sell the Kool Aid that he is the one to guide the team to a flag.

Anything that keeps Ken at Alberton is the best result.

I know, it’s a tough choice!

Prelim defeat is very painful, but I tend to prefer out in straight sets as it means less risk they somehow sneak thorough the prelim. Plus it says they were shite all along rather than “we’re actually really good, we just need the missing piece of the puzzle…”

I’m seriously not concerned who wins it this year - as long as it’s not Port

Stoked that it won’t be Richmond. I don’t hate any of our ex-players enough for that to make a difference

If I had to choose from the top few - Geelong, actually I don’t care about Danger but I don’t want Selwood to win it. Bulldogs, nah they can wait. Melbourne, as a club they’re on a par with Carlton, old Melbourne money entitled snobs, they can get fkd.

Brisbane it is 😛 Fagan seems a decent bloke and he’s done a great job

Ross Lyon won't care, has no morals himself.

I think he’s the right fit for them. They need a hard bastard, so either Clarko or Ross

Combine that with what looks like -finally - a board clean out and they just might have a chance of improving

9 coaches in 20 years. Reaching Glenelg levels! 😄 (and I’m a Glenelg man)

I'm pretty much the same. I'd like Brisbane to win it most out of the teams most likely.

Unfortunately, I'd say the most likely to win it would be like this:

Melbourne, Port
Geelong, WB
Brisbane
Sydney
Essendon
GWS

GF defeat by 120?

Carlton fans will be up and about, team has just ticked off it's final KPI for the season.
Dont forget their time to shine is the trade period where they grab a 'gun' GWS reject for peanuts who ends up being a failure. This year they look like getting Cerra too , not sure how they arepaying these guys but their top 10 players are getting a huge % of the salary cap
