Assume any sort of payout will hit their soft cap pretty hard?
Things can change very quickly with COVID-19 but who cares about this ** season.
Contracted for another two seasons. What a buy. Our revenge for Gibbs. It still staggers how badly carlton wrecked that promising young forward they took from us on huge money
The change Carlton should make with Mitch McGovern
“I don’t think he’s good enough to be a forward.”www.sen.com.au
Not even close. I'll see your blues and raise you Poort and Richmond.Their fans are the biggest campaigners. They deserve all the misery that they get.
Only if funded by the AFL I think.I think with there was a rule brought in that Clubs only have to pony up six months worth of salary when paying out coaches.
but, yeah, will form part of their soft cap next year.
Teague sacked, as per FoxSports.
Teague certainly is an interesting case study.
He was really well liked by the players he coached here, but seemingly clashed with what we were doing as a club. Given how disastrous that was, it looks from the outside like he was in the right.
Carlton continue to be in the same spiralling mindset they have been for a long time now - when it goes wrong, blame the coach or players, but change nothing else. It seems to be run as an old boys network where the board and hangers on look after each other, so consistently look for a scape goat. Disturbingly, we seem to be following a similar pathway.
So can Teague coach or not? It's almost impossible to tell at this point. I do think he will find another assistant role. Hopefully he finds success there.
Im just trying to decide what is a more painful fate for them? Straight Sets or another Prelim Disaster?
If I could honestly chose I would take Prelim Disaster because Ken can remain and continue to sell the Kool Aid that he is the one to guide the team to a flag.
Anything that keeps Ken at Alberton is the best result.
Fagan seems a decent bloke and he’s done a great jobRoss Lyon won't care, has no morals himself.
(and I’m a Glenelg man)I'm pretty much the same. I'd like Brisbane to win it most out of the teams most likely.I’m seriously not concerned who wins it this year - as long as it’s not Port
Stoked that it won’t be Richmond. I don’t hate any of our ex-players enough for that to make a difference
If I had to choose from the top few - Geelong, actually I don’t care about Danger but I don’t want Selwood to win it. Bulldogs, nah they can wait. Melbourne, as a club they’re on a par with Carlton, old Melbourne money entitled snobs, they can get fkd.
Brisbane it isFagan seems a decent bloke and he’s done a great job
GF defeat by 120?I know, it’s a tough choice!
Prelim defeat is very painful, but I tend to prefer out in straight sets as it means less risk they somehow sneak thorough the prelim. Plus it says they were sh*te all along rather than “we’re actually really good, we just need the missing piece of the puzzle…”
Dont forget their time to shine is the trade period where they grab a 'gun' GWS reject for peanuts who ends up being a failure. This year they look like getting Cerra too , not sure how they arepaying these guys but their top 10 players are getting a huge % of the salary capCarlton fans will be up and about, team has just ticked off it's final KPI for the season.
GF defeat by 120?
A nice pay out after they do?Why would anyone want to coach Carlton when they sack you after just 2 years
Carlton is where good coaches go to die. Coaches are well respected before carlton. If you want to ruin your legacy, go to carlton. Why would anyone in their right mind want to coach carlton with that poisonous board ?
