With Tua in freefall Miami is the perfect place for Tom

If he is looking for a soft landing there isnt much around. Each Division leader has either settled QBs or on a path to one - or overpaid on others

Options for Tom

Retire is probably 50%
Miami - previously linked and the Division used to be the Patriots and now its the Bills - but for how long? 25%
Vegas - Chiefs arent going anywhere with Mahomes in charge - they will continue to be a factor. Can the Chargers hold on to 2nd place or is there a Wild Card spot available - 15%
49ers - Brady has always been a 49ers fan ''until they skipped me 6 times'' and it might just fall his way - but do the 49ers want to do a deal with Tom? 8%

Everyone else %2

Titans makes sense if he can handle living in Tennessee...a nice soft division for him, quality defense, Pats links with Vrabel. Assuming they add some depth at WR over the offseason.

However he's been trash this year, seems like he needs a super team around him if he wants to continue and win. Niners the only place that really makes any sense from his own perspective, but they don't want him.

Retirement seems a best guess.

I did think of the Titans - it is a soft division - Tanehill can be replaced - but is it exciting enough for Tom?

The lack of weapons right now probably makes it a no. Yeah I'm not sure the lifestyle suits him either.

If he's desperate to play and to try get some revenge on the Niners for rejecting him the Cards for one year while Murray is out makes some sort of sense.

Seattle maybe also as a bridge QB? Their roster will be pretty loaded after the offseason with the picks they have.

Brady will choose a team that has a good D and good receivers. A former Pata connection may have an input. Revenge on the Pats could play a part.

Niners, Dolphins, Raiders, Titans make the most sense.

Now that Davis has McDaniels and Ziegler there, that could pave the way to get rid of "that mother****er".

Dolphins are loaded and offers revenge on Pats/BB. There was no connection with the Bucs coaches previously. Gets to stay in Florida, taxes and all that.

Niners probably wont take on Brady because Lance and three firsts.

Vrabel connection isnt strong enough probably. No weapons, low key market.

The real reason the Niners dont want him is coz of Kyle's ego, he wants all the credit. The Shanahan's have rejected him 3 times previously when he was a far better player than he is now, I cant see how they suddenly want him now.

It's part of the reason but not the full one. Jimmy G had just taken the 49ers to a SB and I don't remember too many people, even the biggest Jimmy critics at the time, mounting a campaign to sign Brady. And even though it may have stood to benefit the team I follow, I didn't want to follow a competition that came down to which team Brady played for being the ultimate winner.

Shanahan's ego is a massive problem, maybe a Purdy or even Lance who will do exactly what the coach wants is the best formula. All I know in the very small sample, is that Purdy is playing to the scheme of the offense and the result is wide open receivers.

The most notable difference between Jimmy and Purdy is that Jimmy executes to the first read of Shanahan's offense whilst Purdy goes through all his reads.

2 Reasons not for 49ers to not get Brady is having to change the offensive to suit him. Don't want him to bomb like wilson in denver. Plus our offense is finally firing why would you want to change scheme for that. Plus doubt Kyle willing to give up control even to Brady.

Plus the money doubt we have the cap room to bring some of our role players back, resign bosa and get brady. Even at 10 mil that money could be better spent else where only way he gets to 49ers if he comes on the cheap league minimum plus bonuses.

Sounds wild to say, but given the way Lockett and DK operate and watching Brady try to get balls to Evans recently, Tom would likely be a downgrade on Geno.

You are probably right, just trying to think of favourable offenses where Tom could try and worm his way in.

Geno = that mother****er 2.0

Because of the contract Carr signed at the start of the year with the no trade clause. the Raiders have to find a trade partner before the superbowl for him, and one he will be willing to waive the no trade for.

but its an easy dead cap to eat if they cant and need to cut him. I doubt even the Colts are dumb enough to pick up his contract. or that he will go there.
