Enjoyed De Koning’s game. Young gave us something forward. Saad fantastic. Mids good overall.

Was a weird game, we were okay in most areas but fell down structurally.

The small forwards are giving us absolutely nothing.

I saw Newman in the second quarter with time and space look central from within our d50 and just hurriedly bomb it down the line to a three on one in favour of freo. He had time and space and didn't even look where he was kicking. They scored a goal. Absolute trash.

Parks does good. Parks does bad too. Very bad.

Owies, Martin and durdin need to remember some of them need to play in front and pressure their opponents when they have the ball. All 3 of them trying to get out the back is bloody shit forward craft. Bloody shit.

Middle 5 did well enough. Weiters was OK under lots of pressure.

We lose the game because we turn it over 60 metres out of goal in the forward half. Shallow entries and horrible decision makers exposing small forwards who don't chase.

Was always going to be tough when we lost Silvagni before we began.
We lost Pittonet, Harry on one leg and let’s be honest, the Dockers were hungry.
Not Boyd’s fault but I don’t get him as a sub. He’s just a trier and a decent grunt.
I’d rather stocker, kemp. Williamson, Carroll etc. just don’t get it.
Tough day at the office!

Our game plan is far too reliant on Pittonet and we also seem to get stuck kicking long time after time. Really need to adjust how we move the ball. We lack significant speed around the contest and get smashed on the wings. Some really glaring weaknesses.

There's a bunch that should be ashamed of their efforts though.

After the years we’ve had 4-2 is a good start.

I find it very difficult because we are exactly where I expected at the start of the year (we will make finals) but we have shown we COULD be top 4/contending.

Not sure whether to be happy with the progress or disappointed I have to wait another 12 months for us to contend.
