Both he and Kemp have on-going opportunities, particularly if they can show some level of versatility. Stocker can play general defender with some leaning to small defender, but should be able to push into midfield.
Kemp can play everywhere but the ruck.

1. Stocker is a mid being pigeon holed as a defender.
2. Boyd was nowhere near dominating VFL like Stocker is.

Carroll played out a large chunk of the game yesterday, so I don't think those two things are related e.g. covid/personal.

Stocker would be playing as a mid, if he were playing for the Kangas or Bummers. Our midfield is slightly one-paced, especially while we are without Cerra. Potentially, I would like to see Liam playing mid for five minutes a quarter at least.
Boyd is smaller at 180, compared to Liam at 187. Plus Jordan is very quick and nimble. So they are different types and I think Vossy loves the extra nippiness that Boyd does bring.
Ideally, I would have both of them in the seniors. However this will probably not happen, at least this year.

Newman is in Stocker's spot - for now
I find it funny, that for the last 2 years people keep suggesting any possible backman as a "better option" when compared to Newman. All these so called better options, either can't break into the side, lack consistency or just can't stay on the park due to being injury prone
Stocker isn't taking Newman's role anytime soon, if Boyd doesn't come up, then Stocker will get his chance

Really interested in Joel trudgeon has a great junior resume and stats are trending upward in the vfl definitely worth consideration for a rookie spot.
Yeah Carrol played. Got crunched in a heavy tackle. Can’t recall seeing him after that. Hopefully just heavy knock/precautionary
