was on SEN this morning. His choices are to go back to concreting or living the dream , pretty sure he wont leave any gas in the tank at training or gameday
The haircut proves it.

Pray that Hayes plays well and stays, hey

:p
Hayes is the same height as Mason Wood. If they want Ryder to be the main ruck and Hayes keeps playing like that, then for sure they'll try

Ryder - 1st ruck
King - 1st fwd
Membrey 2nd fwd (only 188cm)
Hayes - 3rd fwd
Marshall - 4th fwd/2nd ruck (very agile)

Ryder 50-60% ToG NicNat styles?

Ryder will never be the No1 ruck again

Why? He signed on, they clearly want him rucking. I'm sure he'll come in, but he'll probably get injured

He is only contracted for this year. He hasn't played a FULL season since 2011 and when winning the ball out of the centre is probably more important now than ever you need a reliable ruckman and unfortunately his body always lets him down.

So they'll keep playing him ruck until he either signs on, or indicates he's going somewhere else at the end of the year. Then all bets are off.

Hopefully he waits at least until the byes :moustache:
He’ll re-sign as Goldy will hang up his boots.

At 196cm he's very much an aberration among today's rucks, done bloody well to remain competitive this long.

Still our best ruckman while fit, and Marshall at CHF allows King to stay deeper. Marshall's marking skills and kicking skills are under utilised in the ruck, where he's not a great tap ruckman.

The Saints will play Ryder where they can, but he's 17 games at best if fully fit.

Or, he gets better each week as his confidence grows and by bye time has become the most unexpected top 6 F in the history of SC, or at least since Roma's debut year.

Darcy late out may have really stuffed me. I have Marshall at R2 now.

...and this, Jane, is why daddy will keep the fine young ruck in his team and watch his value grow in multiple ways....
he got 46 out of 82 ruck contests.
DPP for certain if he keeps that up.

I'm not exactly sweating on Preuss, but it would be ideal if he gets the ruck role at GWS, or is at least given the chance. He would complement Flynn well as Flynn can play the mobile CHF role when not rucking. Judging by the AAMI Grundy thrashed Flynn but was beaten by Preuss with several direct walk outs from Preuss' taps. If GWS are to be competitive with the big boys Flynn as R1 with part time back up is not the answer. Think Preuss can score quite well rucking to the GWS mids. Projected score of only 16, though.

If not English has the job in the short term. Encouraging for English owners that Martin is an emergency tonight. When you have Cordy, Bont, Dunkley and Macrae who can pinch hit English should be enough.

Preuss cant stay on the park.
I doubt that changes while trying to be first ruck.
He has never played more than 4 afl games in a row.
This will be his 8th year.
Terrible pick IMO.
