I think Cerra will explode out of nowhere in a year or two like Parish did.

The only reasonable criticism I believe you could have of him is his goalkicking in my opinion.

I think the criticism of him being soft or not hard at it is somewhat fanciful and trying to downplay his loss.

In what ways do you see Erasmus surpassing Cez? I haven't been paying much attention to him.

Johnson brings similar attributes to Cerra. Erasmus will be a bit more Fyfe-ish. That's my never seen them play insight.

Jury still out on whether Cez leaving is a net positive or negative. None of the players we drafted have played a game yet and are completely unproven at AFL level. It will be at least one year, and probably 2 or 3 in the case of Amiss before we know if we won the trade or not.
Erasmus, Johnson, NOD etc going well is preseason is nice and all but until they actually play a few games in the AFL we have no idea if they are good enough.

Cerra will be really good at Carlton. He can really play, inside and out, as he is a sensational decision maker. His kicking is above avergae, but his ability to determine the right option is elite.

And to his credit, he didn't leave anything on the shelf when he played for us. No swinging the lead, no dragging the chain, no keeping anything in reserve. He played proper footy and I thank him for it.

So, yair, we will miss him.

But he can be replaced. The word I am hearing is that the draftee that club officials are most excited by is Johnson. Someone trod on his foot in training, fracturing it such that surgery was required, but until that point, he was the one generating the most heat in the pants. They love him.

He's silky, great in traffic, can get his own ball, will be heaps bigger than Limpdick Mommasboy Nocherrypopped Cerra, and won't ever be pining for the pork of the porcupine.
