You know the direction and fashion all of your opposition pieces can move in chess with a fair bit of reaction time.
They also don’t all move at once, and you take turns moving one piece at a time.

Haha - If I could move four times in a row I'd win every time! ;)
Maybe someone needs to make a real-time version of chess. Your opponent would be moving at the same time 😉

Hey Yeti just wondering how you think we're tracking to you prediction that we're shit?

You asked me to bookmark so I just thought revisit.

Still early days but wondering your thoughts and if you're ready to jump off the the "We're shit" train yet?
Should we revisit this post now or do you want to wait until the end of the season?

Seems we play a bit different when it isn't a practice match?

Chapman and Freddy were the big heroes in this thread. Geez some are experts at getting ahead of themselves.
I still maintain that Chapman will be very good. But Frederick, Henry,Young have done nothing to suggest they'll be elite. At least two could be total busts if they don't start to improve their consistency

Young was simultaneously very good and very bad today. 14 intercepts 9 marks and 31 disposals at 81% efficiency is a good game. But I'm pretty sure every one of those 6 ineffective disposals lead to a stk shot on goal.

That's how he's played since game 1 year 1. They're all third year players now, albeit with interrupted careers. Can anyone honestly say any of them are better than their debut game?

Hayden young has played a grand total of 15 games, with two long term injuries. I can say with full certainty that even despite his turnovers today, he played a hell of a lot better than any game in his first season.

Freddy is another one who got injured right as he started showing promise and has been poor since coming back albeit only two games.

Henry on the other hand has been gifted games and been injury uninterrupted since his first year and has shown little to no signs of improvement. He's the only one of the three I'm concerned about at the moment.

Jury's still out on Freddy, and young has shown enough to prove that he's going to be a good player for us

I agree with your order, Young has the best chance of being something, followed by Frederick, followed by Henry.
I just don't think any of them are as near as good as is hyped on here sometimes.

Can only report what you see in preseason. Freddy was looking fantastic with repeat leads and some great marking on the lead, why the hell the team would move away from hitting him on the lead I have no idea, or perhaps he just does not handle the tighter pressure of the real game at this stage. I would keep working with him though, we have no other explosive options.
With Chapman it genuinely feels like we are getting his match ups wrong.
However, there is plenty of experience not getting a game at the moment and perhaps we do need to go back to Wilson and Hughes etc.
