Perth Glory looked to have found themselves a good new young midfielder in Georgia Cassidy. I thought watching her in the first two games that she must have been an overseas player brought in to boost their midfield but she's a home-grown talent.

Western Sydney Wanderers player Talia Younis became the youngest player to ever play in the Women's A-League/ W-League debuting a few days before her 15th birthday. (14yr 11m 26 days). Previous youngest debutante was Sam Kerr in 2008, 15years and 45 days.

I've got a Podcast up and running and had the pleasure of chatting with Adam Santarossa who is one of the talented young callers coming through the ranks in the football space. He currently works for ESPN.

I've clipped out one of the segments where we discuss the growth of not only women's sport, but women's football and I thought it may be of interest.

I've provided a short clip of one of the key grabs and then links to the full clip across multiple platforms 😊

Holly McNamara hattrick today. Got to be in the mix for a Matildas recall.

Drew the foul inside the box for the penalty in the other goal today too, scored and gave the assist to Wilkinson last week in Melb City's 2-2 draw with Western United.

Canberra United lose another high scoring game, this time 3-4 to Newcastle. :(

Michelle Heyman scored today to take her ALW tally to 97. Ever closer to becoming the first to three figures.

Hattrick from Millie Farrow will put Glory back on top of the tables after 7 games inflicting the first defeat on Melb City. Huge win for Perth away from home with only 39% possession for the game. City had a couple of players out - Stott in defence would have made a difference.

Really happy for Farrow. She led the comp in creating chances but couldn't score until she broke through for her first goal last Round against Wellington, which was also Glory's first loss of the season. There's a half-hour interview with Farrow on the Glory website where mentions her battles with injuries her entire career after being a youth rep for England, but also struggled with serious anxiety issues.

Vesna Milivojevic scored a hattrick for Canberra in their 5-1 win over Brisbane before coming off in the 78th minute, she is the top scorer with 8 goals from only 5 games. She was born in Australia but plays her International Football with Serbia. :(

Canberra currently sit second last on the table, but have scored the second most goals (15) despite playing two less games.
