Probably one of the better counts compared to the last few years. Can’t believe that Dunkley, Cameron and co didn’t take more votes off Neale.

Surprised to see Gulden & Anderson so far up there. Would’ve been cool to see one of them come from the clouds and pip the more fancied ones.

Anderson & Viney got heaps of votes because of stepping into the roles of their injured team-mates (Touk & Clarry).

Anyone who watched the Swans a fair bit saw how great Gulden was this season. He was top 5 picked in my all-Aus team. He's actually a bit stiff that Chad Warner (who didn't gave a great season at all) took some votes off him earlier in the season.

Each club appoints an ex-champion, someone whose entire football life is beyond reproach, whose sole job is to watch games and give Brownlow votes. They have no club or media commitments other than this.

Getting umpires to do it is for the bin. Their job is hard enough as it is. They should be hung out for the sort of crap we saw on Friday night. Not this. The entire award is wrong. It's utter clap-trap. The most prestigious award in football is also the most stupid.
