We will need to make the list deadline Saturday 7PM AEDST. That will give me time to get any admin done. If things go well, we can look to a Sunday draft start... otherwise it will start on Monday.
Is that AEDT or AEST?

Just to be sure :)

Are there any managers that haven't confirmed they're coming back with the $20 fee in place for Ultimate Footy? I'm just wondering if we need a contingency if we start the draft and find someone timing out in the first round as they've opted not to play.. or then opt not to play.

Everyone has confirmed except haychh who has been replaced by Northern Dogs

DRAFT INFO:

I have set a preliminary draft start time for Sunday, 5th of March, 4pm AEDT.

So, 4 days and an hour from now, roughly. This will give us 10 days to finalise our draft. The draft will run between 6am and 12pm and each pick has 6 hours allotted to it at the moment. This should ensure that everything is finalised ahead of Round 1.

This isn't going to be a big year for live pick trading, I'm not going to be available during the day to facilitate them as I have in previous seasons. If someone is desperate to trade a live pick then you'll have to work it out between yourselves in conversations, take the player that the other manager wants and have a gentleman's agreement that you'll trade the agreed upon future picks/players etc.. after the draft has concluded. Doing it this way means the draft can keep moving.

If we go really well during the first couple rounds I can increase the time limit per pick. If, somehow, we start to fall behind the the pick time limit will need to be decreased to ensure we hit our deadline. I don't foresee this happening though.

As per previous drafts if a pick times out for any reason (connectivity issues, not being aware your pick was up etc..) then the pick will be assigned the next available draftee from the actual draft. For example, if I time out at pick 3 and Ashcroft and Wardlaw have been selected at pick 1 and pick 2 in our draft then I will be assigned Cadman as the earliest actual draftee that is still available and the draft will continue. If I am able to get online before the next selection takes place and I'm able to declare that I actually wanted Tsatas (for example) then, assuming there is someone to facilitate the change, I can be assigned Tsatas and Cadman, in this example, becomes available for selection for whoever is drafting with pick 4. Where there's any contention in re-allocating picks (for example, I come on at pick 6 and say I want Tsatas who is still available, but then whoever selected at P4 says, "Well, I'd have taken Cadman if he was still available" etc.. etc..) then the auto-selection will stand. We've always tried to make sure the process is fair and help everyone get the pick they have wanted when there has been connectivity or other issues and that won't be any different than previous years but, ultimately, there is a responsibility for every manager to be active during the draft, be aware of their selections and to make a selection before their allocated time runs out.

Love your work as always Rockford !

As per previous seasons, if Unknown Caller wants to announce his selection for P1 in the list management thread ahead of the draft start, please feel free! And then so on for other picks.. I can assign those picks ahead of the draft start.
Yeah let's get as many done before Sunday as possible! Lead the way Unknown Caller !

Have nominated my keepers
All the best mate, I shook up that team a bit after taking it over 3/4 years ago. Finished 3rd last in my 1st season from memory and worked my way into the top 4 before a straight sets exit last year, definitely some talent there to work with. You can thank me for the drafting of Green, Rozee, Serong and Young ;)

All the best for the year everyone and hope to see you all in a league again one day soon.
