And if we don't hear in the next couple of days, perhaps we need a contingency plan. Ie. Do we continue the league with a new admin and lose history, new teams, new draft, etc

No offence Unknown Caller you're great. But you are obviously a busy man and often it's hard to contact u. Perhaps we appoint Rockford as the commissioner. He does the list management and runs the thread anyways. Is easily contactable etc. We are running out of time. We need the last 2 spots filled yesterday.

But at some point yeah we might have to restart the whole thing to get round 1 happening.

Fwiw can't leagues be created whenever? So still after round 1 it just means less matches?

Respect UC has a life and this is just fantasy football but we need to act very quickly now. Also UF started late this year and obviously there has been some uncertainty to start the season with the AFL fantasy take over them UF continuation. However season start real real soon and I’m worried we are going to be very rushed to get everything done before round 1.

I agree but it's not rly about who's league manager with a title or whatever there can be multiple ppl. It's a lot of work to set these leagues up and a full day of admin to do lists and honestly we just need a few ppl to have the admin login so we can invite the new coaches in and set the league up as UC clearly has other stuff going on atm and were 2 weeks from r1. Rockford do you already have the commissioner login? If so can you pls set some list deadlines and and new coaches to the league/do lists. If u can't this yr can u pls share the login with zim or me or anyone who can set this up so the league doesn't die. Be damned if I go thru 4 years of losing to have the league die when my team is looking better.

I’m still a bit confused. I thought UF was merging with AFL Fantasy? But now we have to pay $20 per team?

If it’s $20 per team, I think we need to sort out who wants to continue before sorting stuff like list deadlines and drafts.

Rockford needs time to do the admin work etc. But I think we should all be on notice for a deadline of 24 hours after he checks in, of course depending on Rockford and how much time he needs. I'm imagining it's so much easier if people utilise the nominate keeper function?

Gives everyone the weekend to look at last minute pre season games, and then allows for Rockford or anyone else to do the admin side of things.

Then go for a draft start 24 hours later on Monday? We can get through this. Just need some firm times/dates.

100% easier, that way you just click nominated keepers when confirming their keepers rather than manually delisting the players.

I like your enthusiasm but the problem with that is it takes a solid half day to set up lists and draft order and if we do Sunday night deadline for Monday night draft thats assuming Rockford isnt working Monday and also gives no time to double check lists and picks. I think were better off setting Fri or Sat deadline and allow Rockford a few days.

Yep, I think as long as we start the draft by mid next week we'll be ok. We might just need a shorter clock for the later rounds.

Unknown Caller there's been some random talk in here about Rockford taking over the league, I just wanted to say none of us actually care who's owner of the league, this isn't some coup, we're just trying to organise the league nice and quick so we can get the draft going in time for R1. In PRC I share the admin password with a couple of coaches so the league doesn't rely on me for situations like this. Occasionally I need to call on one of them to help out when life gets in the way, same as you do, it's just part of the job.

In the end it's really quite meaningless whose account has admin functions, these leagues are community owned, they don't run without full activity from all the coaches and in the end its most important that the survival and prosperity of the league doesn't rely on 1 person. I know how much effort it is to set up the league each year and im grateful to both yourself and Rockford for getting this up and running each year fot a decade now. Anyways this is just a show of support and my main point is just that I hope you don't get offended by us all getting impatient and calling for Rockford to get the admin done. We dont care who does it we just dont want to lose the league as we all love these 2 leagues, theyre an integral part of the footy season. Cheers mate and hope this makes sense.

I trust his judgment so comfortable if he goes ahead and organises draft/list deadlines etc.
